Achievement sections

I know this is not new since the TG update, but now it's even worse with all the new crafting styles:
Could you not just put all style achievements (motifs/pages) in the "Crafting" section of the achievements? Because, whenever I want or need to check the lists of the styles I haven't completed yet, I have to go through all the different sections in hope they are somewhere in there.

Considering other issues that have appeared since TG was released - I'd assume this would be the last thing on the "to-do" list of priorities. In fact, I find it reasonable the way it is, either way it only takes a few seconds to look it up in there anyway.

Honestly, the achievements section is kinda a mess right now anyway. It could use alternate sorting options... but, you know, not a priority.

The only problem with this is that you can use achievements to track progress on alts. Things like collecting skyshards on your alts would be a lot more tedious if you couldn't tell which one's you'd collected. To say nothing of skillpoints from public dungeon group events.

They used to scatter the DLC achievements to sections that were appropriate to the specific achievement (if I recall correctly, anyway), but then decided that it would be a better idea to consolidate them. Dunno what led to that decision, but there it is. I'm of the opinion that they should be found under either both the DLC tab and whatever tab is appropriate for that achievement, but what can you do.

Of course it's not a priority, but it's a mess indeed, yes..

This would be the best idea, I think

Yes I agree on those type of achievements. But if you have been pvp'ing no stop for a year, or master angler achievement, thats something you dont want to do again.

You're correct about the change.

I think their reasoning was they wanted players to know what items were from what DLC. As a player could look into their crafting achievements and think "Awesome Xiv'Kin style!" but not able to find that themselves.

TBH I think a lot of the UI could do with an overhaul as it's a little limited by being just side tabs etc.

Another option could be to list them under both as other have said and give each DLC an icon in the achievements window to indicate what DLC they come from.

You don't have to do it again. Your alt that has never fished doesn't have to wear the Master Angler achievement either.

You don't have to do it again. Your alt that has never fished doesn't have to wear the Master Angler achievement either.

Alts still can wear the colors/dyes of their main's achievements, that's something

My alt? Its not my alt. Its me, a living person, that have been fishing evey fish in every zone for months... When im stuck on worse race worse class, is it really that game breaking to show a master angler achievement on my account and not a spesific character, like really?

For many people who play RPGs, each character is their own person with their own story. So one character may be a rogue who has all the Justice System achievements. Another may be a paladin who does nothing wrong. So yes, to those people, it would be game breaking.
