Please allow laundering to unbind stolen treasure items!!

    Think the one I wanted to use the most for RP props was the "cheaply bound journal." I forsee tons of Magus types keeping one of those handy and like...passing them around as their notes and such for their study. Also because in the RP we're on a mission to recover some stolen magus notes. I wanted so bad to use a cheaply bound journal and I saved my "Ayleid's Hope" necklace from completing the main quest line. So I was like "Aw yeah super magic Ayleidic amulet and journal of notes." perfect for RP props to say we recovered her stolen property (I play a thief so it would have been super slick of me to just show up and trade it to her as if I steathily stole it all back for her.)

    Alas I had only one half .__.; so then I like....tried to use a crafting motif cuz I couldn't find any other book props. D:

    Yikes. Reading that unofficial quality of life thread kinda hurts. Talk about ignored .__. now I'm somewhat bummed out for this thread. I can throw my suggestion in there, but sometimes it helps to have a thread be specific about something, especially if trying to get developer attention. That, and that thread is a jumble of suggestions from fixing bugs and technical glitches to making toggle for helm display and so on. Which sort of makes it no different than the whole entirety of the forum itself.

    I'm hoping just to have this thread get enough +agrees and bumps by other people to keep it relevant. It's a very small change to the coding to unbind stolen treasure items. And it wouldn't have an impact on game balance.

    A lot of ppl are kinda curious why they bound stolen treasure items to begin with. My GUESS is that they have those items bound because they become like...quest items or something in thieves guild DLC and they don't want people freely trading them. I hope I'm wrong and it was just some off-hand decision when the justice system was coded that could easily be changed and not effect future plans.

    Imo this would be a nice improvement and it doesnt require much effort.

    Bump because TG is out now and I was waiting to see if this change would come in the new DLC. I sad that thieves guild is out and there's even MORE treasure and all of it is bound D':

    I'm tryna think of a reason they wouldn't, and I think it comes down to fearing trash items would flood the marketplace.

    That is solvable by using a setting that these treasure items can't be listed in guild shops. But, I'm thinking they may not have a separate setting for that, and it may have tied that setting into the shops themselves and not the items. That may explain how this isn't an easy setting change because all of the different treasure items have rarities assigned to them.

    I'm not much of an RP'er, but I've definitely come across treasures I would like to send to people as gifts. I support the unwind on launder option.

    They don't. :-( I would be all over that, though. Gonna collect nice things like they were pokemon cards or something.

    There's been bound on pickup stuff for a long time,not just with the new DLC.I just hate it too.I would like to have put a lot of things into my Guild Bank for those who want it,but I cant.So I have to destroy some nice things,sadly.
