Twice its just happened to me, hitting the door and POOF gets repaired

WTF nice glitch/exploit this will turn out to be

*Edit* I know about the 95% thing but the door was open at the time of siege and then fully repaired

that has been an exploit EP uses constantly on my platform and server- ps4/NA, Skull. I have heard there is a certain spot you can stand and repair a wall/door while it is being hit from siege equipment. I have seen it in action at least a dozen times

If that's happening at the beginning of your siege, we call it Troll repairing and it's not new at all. I believe ZOS has said they are fine with it, someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

All you have to do is coordinate your siege hits to get it below 95% and it can't be repaired.

AD uses it constantly on EU Azura, however, I don't know if I should consider it an exploit or not- as it's simply waiting for enemies to siege, and repair as needed. Still, annoying lol.

Of course, in real sieges repairing/reinforcing walls that were under attack by siege engines was a viable tactic that was used many times throughout history. In some cases the defenders actually built a brand new second wall behind the first one while the first one was under attack, so when the wall was breached the attackers poured in only to find themselves stopped by a new wall that they weren't expecting.

I can see why it would be exploitable in-game to just allow unlimited repairs while under attack though.

Great fun repairing a wall during a lull in siege.
Moral of story keep your siege up and coordinated.

They are not unlimited or free unless the whole group is willing to spend more AP in wall repair than they would earn defending the keep.

I usually only see this tactic when it is the last emperor keep.

Yeah I know about this one but the main door was open, while I was still hitting it from a distance and some people got wiped and then it somehow repaired

I remember that in beta sometimes the keep's walls wouldn't load.

I've noticed 2 things about wall repairs during siege this week:

    1) with the changes to wall repair value, it is much easier and more efficient than ever to troll repair. Rather than needing multiple defenders to keep a wall above 95% under heavy siege, a single person can do it pretty easily, forcing the attackers to coordinate well early in the siege (or waste enough time for defense reinforcements to arrive).

    2) outer walls at 0% can sometimes be repaired when being hit with anti-personnel siege. I can't pinpoint the exact events that cause this, but I've seen it happen twice. The wall is down and both sides are fighting in the breach, and both sides are pelting the breach with meat bags and fire ballista, and some defenders in the middle of the siege area are able to repair.

There is a timer on the repairs. If it is not getting hit during the time needed, you can repair. Just gotta make sure that it keeps being hit.
