Can you ever beat this game

I'm so scatter brained, and there's tons of quests to do everywhere. Almost done with cadwells gold, one quest away from having orsinium completed, just realized there's actual quests to do in the IC.........and cyrodil.....then there's Craglorn...bring a friend. Many quests I can have done in 20 minutes or less, but Craglorn is never ending quests that get crazy hard for a level 13 zone. Writs, daily undaunted challenges, daily cyrodil bounties, my inventory is full of surveys I have to do still. Speaking of inventory, what a mess to deal with! Something has got to change there. Guild nites we do trials, and then there's PvP, and fishing....blah.

It is an mmo. No you don't beat it like a single player game.

It is a "mmo" or so people say. So no due to the constant updates. you -can- reach the current end game but then it expands through dlc.

Um... Craglorn is not a level 13 zone. It's a Vet Rank 13 zone, which would be roughly level 62, if you were looking at it in those terms. Well, VR12-14, so 61-63, but you get the idea.

I just never feel any sense of completion. Straight from one quest to another and then another. Now thieves guild comes out next week....hopefully it doesn't wreck the PS4 like it has PC. Add a whole new set of quests there

Never fear, the devs would never let you miss anything (bugs and all), that us pc players are experiencing. >:)

If you are not feeling a sense of completion set yourself a goal, make it a big one.

MMO's go on till they close down, that's their business model and what people pay to play.

Well, this is something what you dont see often in MMORPGs, players complain theres too much to do? Just what Ive said all along, Silver and Gold are too much especially when they add more DLCs to the game, Silver/Gold needs to die, Journey + Silver/Gold is overwhelming, nuff said. Take an advice from a pro, Zen. Silver/Gold served us very well at the launch but its time them to go. (I did them 3 times myself.) Also we need innovative adventure zones.

    Worse, actually.
Its a VR11-13 zone, scaled for GROUPS. Meaning its balanced to be easy if you are there with three firneds.. which makes it somewhat iffy is you are there solo... good training though! ;)

As for "beating the game"... you do that with every quest you turn in. And yes, you can get to the point where you have done all the quests, cleared all the dungeaons, beat all the trials.
    ...
Until the next DLC comes out.
That is what MMO is after all, its not a single player game where the goal is to beat some "endboss", its supposed to be an ever ongoing source of fun and distraction. So they will keep adding quests.

You don't. Basically everything you do is run through the server. Everything is saved, basically, immediately. There are rare cases where the server desyncs, and you'll get knocked back a few feet (like if your internet goes out for a few seconds).

But, baring some pretty rare server crashing, anything you do is instantly saved. Including dying. Which is why the game has respawn systems. If you get stuff? That's saved. If you get caught committing a crime? Yeah, that's saved too.

    Welcome to MMOs.

Everyone knew he meant vet 13. It was pretty obvious...

Also to the people saying he's complaining, pretty sure he's actually complimenting the game. I know test doesn't have a tone to it, but it was pretty clear what he was getting at.

If you are only able to get a sense of completion from literally completing every single thing in a game then MMOs are probably not for you because they're designed to try and ensure players always have something left to do and therefore a reason to keep logging in. And as a result keep players paying their subscriptions, buying DLC or doing whatever else makes money for the company behind it.

Which is kind of the opposite of single player games where the ideal from a developers point of view is generally that you play it and love it but run out of things to do right around the time their next one comes out so you have an incentive to buy it. If they're able to make games faster than most people can complete them they end up competing with themselves. (But that's usually not an issue because making a game well almost always takes longer than playing the same game, especially for RPGs.)

But I'd actually suggest a different approach to giving up on the game: slow down and instead of focusing on how many quests you've done vs. how many are left and how quickly you can get through them try to focus on what you're doing and having fun doing it. It may also help to set yourself smaller goals, like completing all the quests and discovering all the locations in an individual map, or doing something like finding all the survey locations you have maps for.

Also just in case you're not aware the daily quests are literally infinite. Even if you do every single one every single day for the rest of your life there will always be more (unless the game shuts down or ZOS decides to remove them for some reason). Which isn't to say you shouldn't do them, but don't try to count them as part of any type of completion.

That is kind of how MMORPGs go. You'll find your sense of completion when you get the raid boss down that you've been practicing with your friends for a while. The same could be said after a great PvP siege or crowning a friend (or yourself) emperor in Cyrodiil.

But there is no sign of that, its even mention more dreadic princes are going to be involved in a threeway war when the gates to a certain city open, so we have that to look foreward to after dark brotherhood.

The Elder Scrolls Online was never really about winning the game, per se.It's always been about the journey. It's about taking your time and enjoying the entire inworld.(except for PvPers) For most of us it's hoping there never is an end. It's like trying to beat the world,in RL.It wont happen. The sense of completion is in each quest you finish, each achievement you get,and all the people you will meet along the way.
Personally,I hope there never is an end.

Unlike some games that have a 'final boss' that you must "beat" in order to finish the game... MMOs only have an 'end' when they unplug the servers. So no, there is no 'finishing' or 'beating' ESO because they will always be releasing new content- every three months- until the servers are unplugged (which will hopefully be many many years from now).

This is one of the reason I love playing MMOs, even though I'm a solo player who doesn't enjoy group content or PvP, yet an MMO brings constant variety and unpredictable gaming experiences that a single player game can never offer. Also, an MMO offers frequent updates, DLCs, and plenty of opportunity to spend real money in a cash shop... all things that a single player game doesn't offer and all that I enjoy- even the cash shop.

So instead of worrying about 'finishing' ESO, you should focus on doing things that you enjoy doing... and if you find yourself having trouble with that, you might want to consider a different game... not being rude, but realistically not every game can appeal to every person.
