How exactly does resistant and impen stack?

So I've converted all small bits on all my toons to impen and noticed a huge difference. I've also put around 40 points into resistant in the CP tree. My crit resist only stays at 1000 though. Is resistant meant to increase that or does it not show on character sheet? Or does it do something else entirely?

On xbox, so currently no real means to test this properly

If it works like regeneration, it would work something like this:

total_crit_dmg_reduction = (base_crit_dmg_reduction + armor_bonuses + other_flat_bonuses) x (resistant_CP_passive + other%_bonuses)

Not 100% sure though.

Resistant adds a certain value of the "crit resistance" stat you can se in your charqckter sheet.

It is far from OP, its called balance, impen is only effective when fighting people who stack crit, you're sacrificing divines/infused to further increase your own damage as a way to be more tanky against specific setups
