Should there be a cooldown or increased cost when spamming certain abilities?

Im sure everyone notices those op spamable abilities that are just ridiculous and take 0 skill to use. The examples i will use (and im sure you guys could think of more) are Snipe, wrecking blow, hardened ward, etc. Am I the only person who feels that abilities like these should have cooldowns or maybe an increased cost if used multiple times within say 2-3 seconds?

Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.

    No. The combat in this game is far more interesting than any other, such as fonal fantasy because it doesn't have cool downs.

    They did that for bolt escape, so yeah, they could.

    No... There's not only pvp, there's also trials with bosses that have tens of millions of hp. If something like bolt escape fatigue is applied to dps abilities, it will make them impossible to beat.0

    No... There's not only pvp, there's also trials with bosses that have tens of millions of hp. If something like bolt escape fatigue is applied to dps abilities, it will make them impossible to beat.0

    obviously if they implement fatigue, bosses will be tweaked too.

    It is a core aspect of ESO that skills do not have cooldown, so no, do not introduce them.

    Cooldown is one of the two things that made me hate MMOs, ESO's no CD is one of the 2 things that made me like this MMO. Don't destroy the game I like, you Molag Bal's minion :smiley:

    Agreed. The game is much smoother without cooldowns. Spam penalty is also very restrictive, especially to new players.

    what we can do is skill link which is in theory the same as animation cancelling. One skill links to another skill with shorter interval animation but the skill cannot link to itself. This would promote less spamming. Obviously adequate animation must be reflected to show the abilities being cast in succession.

    No, but there should be bonuses for combos.
    Also spammable moves are quite punishable.
    Profanity filter is a crime against the freedom of speech. Also gags.
