Where, exactly, do you expect me to store all of this stuff?

Honestly, I am out of space. I have 1 character that I can't even play because it is full of good bound / unique gear, and the bank is completely full. The unlimited crafting bag will fix most of the issue, but what do I do right now? I'm to the point of deconstructing useful gear.

I have 8 characters, I have max storage, I only keep good traits on monter gear / unique gear. You may not have the issue, but it exists when you play the game a lot.

Storage contraints are definitely an issue. I mean... just look at how amny things to bank they added from IC onwards - crafting materials, style materials, key shards, etc. And that is not even counting the gear... but did we get new bank slots to actually store all these nifty new goodies? Nope, we didn't!

Now, crafting bans will certaily help in that regard... final champion system will as well, because then you no longer will need to save some lower VR gear for your alts, but go right for the good stuff for everyone... I expect quite a bit of deconstructing will be going on then, or dropping into guild banks for newer players.

But still... all the new crafting mats, style mats, etc... we really could use some more bank slots to put our sh... uhm... stuff. ;) And I don't even care if they make them gold sink unlocks, or offer an crown store "50 additional bank slots for your account" unlock...

Join or start a guild with a guild bank, if not great a personal guild bank with your spare accounts. Do all the mount upgrades on your main collectors / mules if you play regularly that's no real hardship. Sure storage is frustrating, but if we all had everything from the off that would be wrong too, just need to level up in the storage skill line ;)

I would decon old gear, but for most of the gold items, I can still find a use for them in some builds. Dropping 8 tempers into an item and only getting 1 back from decon is too wasteful so I tend to hold onto items a bit more in the hopes I can salvage them later, or use them for test/concept builds.

I simply can't afford max storage even if I tried. Too expansive crown wise and Gold wise. Setting up a guild is not an option so I'm permastuck with no space for storing stuff. The most annoying things to take up space? Those little enchantment runes you find out in the field. They don't have a small space to be placed in as each stone that can't be stacked take one space each.

I get the deal that banks span each character you have made regardless of faction but the super expense is too much. 700 crowns for just 10 spaces? Really? Sorry I can't afford that and so I'm stuck with several ALTs all full to the brim with materials I need. And no way of swapping one lot for the other.

As far as my bank, I have 240 spaces and the only item that is not a crafting material is one ring of Mara. I usually try to keep 8-10 spaces free in case I have some armor or treasure maps I want on a different character. 230 spaces+ of just crafting material and more style material keeps coming out. Yeah, we need some help there.

The major problem is that the bank is shared, so even if you have multiple characters, crafting becomes a mess, and certain crafting professions take a lot of bank space, such as enchanting and alchemy. I have a mule just for enchanting runes, and I've filled 50 slots in that character's inventory just on runes, as well as having 20+ runes in the bank. It's not about hording, you have to "store" runes up because you essentially need 3 components to make a glyph, and if you're short of 1 - per example aspect runes - it's a waste throwing away the other 2 just because you're missing 1.

It's a bad design choice from Zenimax to have a shared bank, and have the crafting need so many materials. It's not about choice, because if you want to level an alt, you have to juggle the bank space with the alts you have.

With the amount of crafting materials in the game, they should have just done as Guild wars 2 did, and have its own crafting bank that's shared for all characters, then they could lower the amount of bank space you need (since 80% of the bank is filled with crafting materials anyway) and kept it shared for all characters. I think the design choice in the bank system has been way too rigid, and it's been a problem ever since the game was released, heck, even in Beta the bank space was reported as an issue, yet the stubborn developer insisted on "choice".

I got inventory maxed out. My bank & all characters.
I have a second account. Full.

    Getting still into problems.

I posted in time for the last ESO live in the official thread "ESO live: Ask us anything" the question: Please tell us at least when we get something, so we can plan what to do......
    Radio Silence...
apparently not the convenient question to comment on.....

    What can I do ?

My own guild (bank) ? Yes perhaps I do that. But it feels like an abuse.
Put items in a trade guild for sale at a a too high price. Yes perhaps I do that. But it feels like an abuse.

Waiting for the crafting bag ? Will take too much time.
Waiting for Housing ? Will take too much time.
Waiting for more characters per account for mules ? Will take too much time.

But I think it is about time ZOS gives us more inventory.
As simple as that. As a quick fix.

If I didn't have access to the 500 slots in a guild bank I would have quit this game before it launched. I could already see that storing crafting materials alone was going to take up several hundred slots so having a keen interest in crafting meant that storage was important from the outset.

The storage is a problem for me as well. Especially the materials take a lot of space and keeping the reseachable gear on account makes the total of 440 slots just filled up quick. Logically over time the reseachable gear gets less, yet with the new materials/potions/styles available with the released DLC's it just seems a constant struggle to manage materials over other accounts that become mules that simply are no longer able to quest anymore with the few free slots left.

In my bank I stack up to 180 per material so I would be able to deposit a little when in need, yet 240 slots is way to little to store one of each material available, so swapping out raw materials, recipes, gear, repair kits, styles etc. between characters becomes a real time consuming struggle that is more of a log off/log in game than quality gaming.

On quests I often run out of space before I finished one, and stop halfway a dungeon to go back to the bank does not improve my game experience much. So this results in destroying good materials that need to go to make place for something I think I can use better, but the hoarder in me feels the pain.

Now, if I can summon a vendor or money lender it would help a little, which I understand will be available for Crowns in a few weeks, but still I would struggle with the amount of storage available. I feel that when I would have 300 slots available in my personal bank I would be able to breathe again and if I would run out of those it might be that I just stock to much materials that I better use to complete crafting writs or offer in a guildstore....

Increasing the bank to 300 would give us breating space again.

I would gladly settle with a temporary increase of that 60 and have it removed again (in a prudent way) when the planned upgrade with the crafter bag comes.

yep this was an issue before, and its even worse now. The biggest reason for this are the bind on pickup items, that you simple dont want to get rid of. Bind on equip you can trade for gold, and become like a "free" inventory space.
I struggle myself, my main character have always full inventory, my bank are 240/240, and I have a bunch of unopened mails.

I read that the initial inventory space was just 30 slots - basically set up for a quick and easy cash grab. This is what bothered me in the past the most - their cash grab mentality - I am not against spending money on a game, I actually spend a lot, but I am against obvious cash grabs by no better reason than to cash in for providing nothing but an increased number at an insane price for what is provided. Would I buy even more bank slots - certainly - more inventory slots?- certainly not, because they are a rude cash grab IMO and I do not support that.

No space issues here. Just make your mules into crafters and have them hold the crafting mats that they use for their profession. If you insist on having a "main" who does most of the crafting because you want the Truly Legendary achievement, then you are going to have space issues.

I do not know what to imagine with these "crafter bags", will that be another tab in the bank or in personal inventory? Or perhaps both? Will all materials automatically end up in there without a limit? It would make me cry if it tells me I cannot have more materials when a limit is reached there. And in what time is this upgrade expected? I would love to learn more about this planned feature ....

Provisioning, enchanting, woodworking and clothing. Provisioning requires me to hold up to 4 ingredients, enchanting requires 3. For woodworking I need to hold 6 items if I'm to get the best upgrade, same with clothing (7 if you're to refine the raw material).

Speaks for itself that you run out of space rather quickly

Somewhat - at least in RL it is true - I clear out my stuff every few years, because I am not going to use it anyways. In games that can be more critical, in second life for example my inventory has over 200,000 items - 200,000 - do you think I even know what is all in it?- And when it comes to needing a dress for a party, it is easier to buy a new one, then to find something in my inventory. I could possibly delete most of it, but the selection process would take me years - so I am stuck with the mess.

Word is that it comes with the DB DLC
Rumor is that it is very big or without limit.

I guess very strongly that items in it will be accessable when you craft something (by any character at any location)

Perhaps it will also be fully accessable (to store and load mats) at a crafting station.
Perhaps it is a kind of tab of your bank.

If somebody knows more.... please come in !
