Ok,if I HAVE to choose one food,..it would be Shrimp.Anything Shrimp. Not shrimp flavored,..just Shrimp. In a bowl, all alone,..just Shrimp. For me to peel. Never take me to a seafood all you can eat place.I'll overdose!
Shrimp/prawns are the one thing I'm actually not that keen on. Don't really like the fact that I can completely feel that its a whole creature in my mouth :D
Gah, I hate shrimp/prawns with a passion... For me it's not about the "whole creature in your mouth" thing, though, I just hate the taste. To be fair, I hate most seafood (not all, and I'm always willing to try it - I've had some very nice fish & chips, some very nice fish pakoras, and some tasty swordfish), but for me shrimp are the worst. OK, they're tied with smoked salmon for the worst.

Eggs, in all their wonderful permutations. The classic scrambled/fried/poached/hard-boiled are all delicious, but then you can branch out into custards, quiches, bakes, omelets, etc.

Then there is hollandaise sauce, surely invented by none other than our own Sanguine. That's right, a sauce that consists almost entirely of eggs and butter... and it actually tastes better than it sounds.

Once you reach hollandaise you are left with nowhere to go but up:

Eggs with egg sauce, and a little pork thown in for good measure. Does not get any better.

A really nice Benny with a proper soft-poached egg is a thing of beauty... Actually a nice soft-poached egg makes so many things better. Good corned beef hash with a soft-poached egg on top and garnished with thinly sliced green onions is just fantastic.

3c. About 10 slices of pepperoni

I forgot to mention coffee. Not supermarket coffee; that stuff's awful.

I mean real coffee that you have to order on special consignment from a supplier in a country where the really good coffee beans are grown. Really good coffee beans include:

    Jamaica Blue Mountain
    Ethiopian Harrar
    Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
    Zimbabwe AA
    Brazilian Santos

When you have had good coffee, you'll wonder why anybody drinks that overhyped swill from the supermarket. It makes a cup that tastes like it was brewed from floor sweepings: harsh in the mouth, with an aftertaste redolent of charcoal. Supermarket coffee isn't really consumed for its flavor. No, it's drunk by people desperate to wake up so they can go to their jobs reasonably alert. If it weren't for supermarket coffee, married couples would need to slap each other in the face every morning to achieve the same results.

But good coffee does exist. You just have to know where to get it.

Actually, crab is the only food that I know I'm allergic to. So no crab for me! Actually every year some friends and I go down to Seattle for a convention, and when we're there one of my friends always insists on going to the Crab Pot down on the pier one night. So every time there'll be everyone else digging in to piles of crab, while I'm eating the crappy chicken or crappy pasta :/

Coffee does as well not taste the same everywhere - american coffee beans are quite different from african coffee beans. I personally like coffee from kenia, it has a strong well defined taste, but is not very stomage-friendly. That is why it has to be blended with about 1/3 of costa rica, which is smooth and full in taste, but not well defined IMO, and quite stomage-friendly. So a blend of 2/3 kenia and 1/3 costa rica is a good strong well defined taste overall, while not disturbing the stomage too much (given that you don't drink half a gallon or more of it).

For various real life reasons it just hasn't happened yet. A few of my friends and I are planning on having an ESO day some time in the relatively near future where they come over to my place and we run dungeons and do IC quests and stuff while we're all actually in the same room - I think I'm going to try to do it for that day.

I have to say that it varies.

    Sometimes is sushi and sake.
Sometimes it's steak and salad with a baked potato.
Sometimes it's eggs. Goodness I do love eggs. Especially with hash browns and mushrooms.
    Sometimes it's Mexican.
Sometimes it's Korean (I love kimchi fried rice with an egg.)

And sometimes you really can't beat a good sandwich piled thickly with meat and veg.

But also, I have a love of sweet things, and as I love baking. (Triple chocolate brownies with raspberries is always a winner.)

And then there's the humble but glorious bacon sandwich.

I'm not educated chef or in any way working at a restaurant, but I love cooking as a hobby base. Cakes, dinner, desserts, lunch, brunch, breakfast; you name it, I cook it.

So I'll just divide it a bit into categories in terms of favourite food to make and eat.

    Starter

Good choices here for me, you can go with something as simple as prunes wrapped in slices of bacon, backed in the oven for 10-15 min. The sweet tang of the prune combined with the salty smoke taste of the bacon, delicious. Stick a wooden pin to hold the back together while baking.

Another starter I love, is smoked whale meet with diced red onion, flat bread and sour cream. Simply amazing, and really easy as well as the smoked whale meet is already ready to eat and only need to be sliced.

And finally; soup. I think that fish soup - made out of good portions of fish - is a proper good starter if you're going for meet as a main. Cook the soup stock, steam boil the fish, and add some thinly grated carrots to top of. Can also be topped with some shrimps. Yummi.

    Main

Oh dear, this is where I spend most of my time, as I normally don't make starters that often. I might cook up some fish soup, but it often ends up becoming the main dinner anyway

What to serve here? Loads of options that I love to make, Sheppard's pie (or mostly Cottage pie since minced lamb meet isn't that easily obtained here and getting hold of good lamb meet off season isn't that easy), Lasagne, Chicken Tika masala, various curries, chilli dishes (served with tortilla chips and sour cream), fish cakes with sandefjord butter and mashed potatoes.

Now I mentioned whale meet at the starters but I'll mention it here as well; I love whale meet. It's one of the best meets you can get your hands on. It's sort of gamey taste to it but stronger. And at the subject of game (meet); Finnbiff stew, which is basically meet of reindeer or caribou (no Rudofls have been harmed in the making of this dish), vegetables (such as mushrooms) and a thick gravy consisting of juniper berries, water, meet stock and sour cream. Served with mash potatoes and mountain cranberry jam. Gargh, getting water in my mouth thinking about it

    Desserts

This is an area I love, who doesn't love desserts? My personal favourite is home made vanilla ice cream and brownies. But I also boil up some caramel pudding (with home made caramel sauce of course), Panna cotta, Creme brullee, crumble pie with blue berries or strawberries (preferably wild grown, I live in an area with a LOT of woodlands and outlands to choose from for fishing and hunting).

And of course; Yes I'm a coffee lover. I'm basically as bad as a dragon in the morning prior to my mug of black magic, it's so bad that while I worked at a hotel and had to start at 7 a.m in the morning, my colleges avoided asking me question until they were sure there was at least 1 mug of coffee in me. Even some of my regulars that stayed often at the hotel mentioned they noticed my before and after coffee mood. Without coffee, there's nothing that works. And I'm not that fancy about what coffee beans and such, though I do like trying different coffee types, but any regular black beaned coffee works for me. As long as there's caffeine to be had, I'm happy
