I noticed polls like this for Fallout so I assumed it was safe to ask. So tell me, how many of you out there will be getting this game as well? I personally am looking forward to playing something as I wait for the Dark Brotherhood to be released. I will be on the PS4, how about you guys?

    Nah
    Nope.

    I've played them all.

Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls II... after a while, you just get burned out. The difficulty was "best" in Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. But even then, after you master the combat mechanics there's not much left to the difficulty.

Maybe it's just me. But the DS series just doesn't hold the magick that it used to.

It isn't? That sucks. Did I miss the lock on Fallout?

Did you every play Bloodborne? That one was my favorite. I loved how aggressive the combat was in it. I hear that DS3 is going to be a lot like DS1 except with similar speed to Bloodborne. They also brought back the mana bar, and are introducing weapon arts.

You're missing something if all that matters is the difficulty. Yeh, it's promoted as a challenging series of games but the true magic is the minimalist plot rich in subtle detail. There's so much to discover and infer just from item descriptions, people have woven elaborate theories and when you uncover those small details it gives you a different perspective on previous boss fights or characters. That's the true beauty of the Souls franchise.

I was never sold on Bloodborne. It just seemed... rushed to me. Almost like they just crapped something out to get into the new console generation as quick as possible.

Maybe that view has robbed me of trying a good/great game, but it never appealed to me enough to put down my Xbox One controller long enough to fire up my PS4 for it.

Oh I know. Even when I played Fallout, I made sure to log into ESO to do some dungeons with my guild mates =]

I wasn't interested in Bloodborne for a different reason: I don't like Victorian/puritan-style settings in games. More often than not there's always some over-zealous priest or pervasive Church ideology in the plot that gets boring for me.

It was amazing man, although I did wish they had a larger weapon selection, and visceral attacks made it easy to cheese the majority of bosses. Even still, one of the best games produced yet for the next gen.

I play as well a lot of other games in parallel - not for long though, I just don't have the time - but I like a good mix - even I have to say that the majority are Bethesda games - I just like the style of their games.

Yeah I prefer knights and castles over top hats as well. It was easy to get over though once you get some awesome executioner gear though with a tomb hood.

Yeah the moderators on here seem like they always have a discipline paddle in hand. One time I used some anatomically-correct terminology in a thread title and they flipped out over it.

Well the victorian age was puritan on the outside, but scandalous on the inside - just to give an example - it was totally normal for husbands to have a mistress beside their spouses and women had secret lovers. They did not marry whom they loved - well Queen Victoria did, but that was an exception - but who was good to raise a family with. Sexual diseases were wide-spread in the victorian age as well, which points to a lot of establishments which served sex of all kind and for all wallets.
