Non Templar healers and Ulti's

WitchKing_of_Nirn
So with the exception of the nightblade's soul siphon, the non Templar classes are completely lacking in the way of using their ultimate to produce healing. Even Nightblade SS is really difficult to use effectively because it has a medium to high cost. The sorcerers negate magic can be an extremely useful utility in anything, but again even higher cost. I have never leveled a DK to see all their morphs, but I don't think I've read anything about a suitable Ulti for DK healers. With the changes in TG to make every class a full blown healer, I think it's still gonna be really difficult for non temps to enjoy healing without a good Ulti.

I think one possible really easy solution to the problem would be to make devouring swarm also apply the same buff as NB soul siphon (increased healing from HoT by 30 pct) and to siphon to the group instead of just the caster

This would be great for sorcs because of reduced Ulti costs, and for NBs for all the hots. Again not sure how it would be additionally beneficial to DK (or Temps too) but they don't pay me. So yeah.
Thoughts?

Dragonknights have magma shell that gives shield based on health and sorcs have Suppression Field, 8% damage reduction which is useful to healers, so is there those. All have access to barrier.

As pve healer in the most situations warhorn is the best ultimate, no matter if you are a Templar or not. So all other support / heal ultimates (including remembrance) deserve a buff.
But I don't think changing batswarm to a support ultimate is a good idea.

I always felt that the war horn was a job for the tank. In this game everyone ought to be doing some dps. I think healers probably have better offensive (magical) stats than tanks have either physical or magic. When I'm healing dungeons, I use Ice commit for most fights and soul siphon for any others.

Good point about barrier, but it's expensive as fuuck to cast, I like something with med cost, lol

bolstering darkness has a heal synergy. There are a lot of good ultimates for healers that provide group damage mitigation: solar prison, standard, barrier, magma shell, veil of blades.

On my templar I'm using Aggressive Horn (Warhorn morph) which boosts your friend's crit damage. When I use meteor let's say I'll deal 40k damage, but if I cast horn ulti my dps mates probably deal more damage than my meteor thanks to warhorn. So increasing dd's damage is always better than yours.

Most Templar healers don't use Remembrance. I've really only seen templar tanks use it to allow the templar to DPS on range fights (Final boss of fungul grotto, or DC's engine guardian) instead of heal.

Nova has damage mitigation and is saved for boss fights to mitigate here enrage phases. That will allow you to pretty much heal like usual or add DPS in most situations.

    Hi

On my NB Healer i don't use soul siphon, i really don't need it.

On my bar I have Veil of Blade or Meteor (mostly when I play with PU groups, which is a very rare situation lol), and I always use Aggressive Horn for endgame content (I play with a Sorc tank who uses Negate and Overload, he can put the horn from time to time, and i'll use meteor in these cases).
I play all Healers in endgame content but my main is my Khajiit Nightblade.

I slot Barrier on my sorc when Im healing, mainly for the passive magicka regen increase because healing ulti's are not really needed in my experience.

Healing Ward and Rapid Regen is usually more than enough for emergency heals.

My NB uses Soul Siphon, Veil and Barrier. All 3 are very useful.

As a Templar healer, I would gladly trade you my healing ultimate for overload or standard.

I totally agree with you :) I don't see any situations where you'll need this ulti.

In PvE, Dungeons are really easy, you won't need an ulti to heal your teammates ("normal" heals are more than enough). Same goes for raids (I'm not talking about Maw of Lorkhan cause I haven't tried it atm).

In PvP, it sucks (easily interrupted).

@WitchKing_of_Nirn I'd go for the Aggressive horn, it's a good ulti, adds good DPS, your teammates will like it :p And since the new DLC, it's easy and fast to get.
