Crafting Writ Bug or Intended Mechanic

Prior to the patch I was able to pick up all six writs on just say Monday; then on Tuesday I would complete and turn in those writs then be able to pick up Tuesday's writs complete and turn them in. So essentially as long as I picked up the writs before the reset time I was fine.

Today I already had all six writs from Wednesday, once I completed them the writ boards don't give me the option to pick up todays (Thursday's writs).

Is this a bug with the TG DLC or were the writs never intended to work that way?

Thank you!

Sheeit, this better not be true. Stacking them on 2 days saved so much time

I have had this happen randomly before the update. But it was usually just enchanting and all the other writs would still work as you described.

I have a theory that if next day would be the same writ, you can't get it.But because you can't get it, you really don't know what it would have been. I have noticed earlier, months ago, that sometimes i can't get the next writs if doing in two-day rhythm. But then few days later i got it again. I never really cared to look into how the system works, but when doing writs with multiple alts, they seem to follow certain pattern. Sorry that this is so vague. I stopped doing the two-day rhythm few months ago. I suggest you try a little longer.

Well, since you guys haven't gotten the TG patch yet, I guess it's not because of it.

I've picked up new crafting writs in Hew's Bane, but haven't turned them in yet.. it sends me to Orsinium. Which is funny since the patch notes said they fixed the issue with Orsinium writs to be turned in in Craglorn (or vice versa). And now it's the same bug in Hew's Bane again?

Also, how can we do any Provisioning writ in Hew's Bane? There is not a single usable cooking fire in the entire zone (bad enough that the Craglorn Provisioning writs still can't be done when the skill is maxed).

About the OP: I really hope this is not intentional, I like turning in 2 sets of writs on 1 day, too, sometimes.

That's not possible, they're on at least a 3 day rotation (I think it's a 4 day rotation for alchemy). So today, without logging on, I know I'll be skipping my clothier writ because it's going to require leather opposed to cloth (still trying to get my VR16 medium armor).

I used to be able to get a writ, leave a day before completing it, and then get another one immediately. Tonight I logged in a blacksmith I haven't played in weeks or even months, completed a writ he already had from before, and wasn't offered a new writ. Something's certainly either bugged or changed. This was in Vulkhel Guard on the PC EU server.

I could follow awhile to find out, if there is a pattern.

Sounds like its been changed to how the Wrothgar daily quests are.

You might be able to hand them in the next day and still get next days writs as long as you actually craft the pieces (or have in inventory if pre made) the day you grab the writs. Wouldnt be much of a time saver though.

There is at least 1 Alchemy writ they never bothered fixing which still says to hand in at Belkarth too.

I have an account just for crafting and I have all my toons on that account that I complete all 6 of the writs. It was nice when I could stack them so that during the week I only had two days where I was just doing writs and the other three days playing. Weekends = more play time so I could do both.

    Monday - PU
    Tuesday - Complete 2 sets
    Wednesday - PU
    Thursday - Complete 2 sets
    Friday - PU
    Saturday - Complete 2 sets
    Sunday - Complete 1 set

I've been doing this schedule for months and months now. I'm going to keep on the schedule and see if maybe Tuesday and Today were just glitchy because of all the patches and hotfixes as one of my guildies suggested.

Just checking, are you doing writs with only one character? What i have as preliminary trace, there is rotation, but with multiple toons the writ quest sets repeat - even the same day. It will take longer to see what exactly is the rotation.

Ok, so what I've discovered is that if I already have the prior days writs on my toons, and there is a hotfix or a patch on that day, then I can only complete the day before writs and I can't pick up the writs for the current day. Other than that it works as it has been.

Not quite sure. I do max level writs on 10 toons 7 on main account and 3 on second. Even if it isn't on a hot fix day/patch whatever, some of my toons can turn in 2 writs (pick up on one day do both on second. Also all crafting writs) I can't do the second one. There has been some cases where only a few of the writs are able to be picked on second go around. I'm not sure what deal is. Same thing happens to me with wrothgar daily delve missions too. I can do 2 on one character and only one on another.

So to be safe I do writs on all the toons every day instead of pick up one day and turn in 2 next day just to be safe.
