My favorite race in this game are the Bosmer. The second I started my first TES game (Morrowind) I fell in love with them and I love them ever since. With every bit of lore I learn about them, I love them even more - I just can't help it. I tried to play other races, but they just don't feel right to me and I stop playing them and return to my Bosmer.

For me they are the most interesting and fascinating race in these games - not just their close connection to nature and nature's spirits, also their way of life, their history, the woods they live in - and even the cannibalism that is part of their culture. They are such a diverse and complex people - for me they are just perfect! :)

I've fallen hopelessly in love with the Dunmer.

For starters, Dunmer culture (particularly when playing Morrowind) has a FEEL to it that's just hard to beat.

And could the Tribunal BE any cooler?

I'm also an Altmer fan, because - along with the Dunmer - they have the longest lifespans of all the mortal races. Can you imagine how much more fully you can master a set of skills when you're living three or more times longer than everyone else?

Can you fathom what Einstein or Muhammad Ali could accomplish if they were in their physical prime at 150 years of age?

    :o

I don't think the trajectory of progression in relation to age is the same as the other races. They seem to be on par.

Nord 100% Just have always liked them. But their passives sort of suck. Played a Nord in Skyrim and I think Oblivion too. Other races I kind of like are the Bretons, Bosmer, and Khajiit.

That's a fair point, and I understand it probably has to be that way; from a game perspective, at least.

But even if Mer reach adulthood at 100 years of age, they still have several centuries of learning ahead of them.

I'd rather learn swordplay from an ancient Altmer than an old Redguard.

    :p

For lore it's Khajiit however in game for actual use it's tied Imperial/Redguard.

    Bretons...

OP in every TES game since 1996 :p

This is mostly true though I would argue that in eso Imperial supplants them...They get natural passives to TWO main stats which is no freaking joke. Here is my top ten list because why tf not:

    1) Imperial
    2) Altmer for their magicka mastery
    3) Kahjiit for coolness and weapon crit
    4) Breton for magicka and resistances
    5) Wood elf for bows and Stam
    6) Redguard badass weapon users
    7) Orc melee masters and they look cool
    8) Nord drunk and obnoxious
    9) Argonians their passives are bad. They all sound like they smoke 2 packs a day lol
    10) Dunmer - they have good passives but they are racist slavers and straight up aholes.

They all seem very interesting to play, but my sole (for now) character is an Imperial. :)

I have been in love with dark elves ever since D&D... but for ESO, I loved the Dunmer in their own right ever since their rich history was sprung on me in TES:Morrowind. And that is how my main characters will -always- be dunmer.
