I got it on a veteran grade 1 character (alliance rank), which was obtainable at level 20-22 approximately, if you start PvPing at level 10.

Now that AP gains have been significantly buffed, it should be possible to get around level 18 or so I guess.

Agree with that and I'm not salty at all about it either. This is my opinion though and I'd like to see it moved to Assualt 10, hopefully people will learn to PvP before they get it, maybe.

nope I think it's a good change and will bring more ppl into cyrodiil now that it's actually something the average player can get.

No offense but this doesn't come off as being about balance honesty.....because a lvl 30 can one-shot lvl30 npcs without proxy, the game is dumbed down anyways. So this post does come off as just being paranoid of proxy competition or salt for not being a "special" one of few with proxy anymore. This is just my opinion though.

I agree with @Yusuf. The availability is not the issue.

If your concern is that low level players will have proxy "before they learn how to PvP", that's sounds to me like you're worried about being pawned by lowbies now. This isn't rocket science, learning to PvP doesn't take a month of 24/7 grinding with a AP farm group.

This. Prox Det has been broken and off the power curve since it was introduced. Now that nearly anyone can get it, it'll get a nerf before long. So OP, go ahead and enjoy it for the time being.

I've had it for over a year on other characters. Hardly used it since I've never had a magblade until now. My concern is for the well being of the game. It's not salt or some other BS.

Lvl 30 is quite late for proxy. My lvl 35 sorc is already on rank 9 in the alliance war skill tree. Combat frenzy 2/2 on non vet campaign, here I come

I think it's a bit unbalanced to get access to powerfull skills while getting full benefit from battle leveling, but well, will be funny when my new magicka nb will get proxy while having higher stats than my v16 one.

Not necessarily true. For the individual not paying attention, yes this theory crafted situation will kill them. To the smart player, you can see the red ring left behind as they go into cloak. A dead give away as to whats coming next.

I was in a situation where I was leaving Alessia bridge with a zerg of AD trying to push back EP. When out of the corner of my lil eye I spotted an EP Alliance Rank 32 cast Proxy Det then go back into cloak. I popped a Detect pot on him and he got murdered instantly.

As someone who put Proxy Det back on my bar for sciencey reasons, the only time I really ever use it is on my Siphon Bar/Resto out in the open surrounded by my alliance. Then weapon swap to DW occasionally to Lotus Fan into the front of a zerg to push them back. The skill is a much better deterrent in open field combat coupled with Sap Essence. It's pretty easy to tank a NB Prox + Bats if you see/hear the effects go off. Tri-potion is all you really need.

PvP. I don't do much PvE but I need to go to zones for skyshards and books.

It's not Zerg balls it's groups taking flags etc. How gutted would you be if your group of 4-6 were killed by 1 level 30 NB proxy/soul tether? If I can, anyone can and within 3-4 days of buying the game. It's cheesy but it's getting me a lot of AP. We're not talking CP's either, I'm on Azura with this character, I'm also using gear bought from a guild store and 4 trait crafted gear.

Maybe I have a bad taste in my mouth? You lot are making me doubt myself now but when I started PvPing in ESO I had to learn to block at the right time, break free, dodge, when not to cast a channel etc.

the difference between availability and balance is what I think is important to highlight. It simply being available is not the issue. The issue is the single target damage is definitely OP and needs to be brought back into balance. It's possible the AoE damage as well, but I'm currently enjoying the zerg tears a little too much atm to do some comparison testing. The skill is obv OP, that's the problem. keep it attainable for the masses though.

In regards to your "small group" example there is a lesson to be learned if they are getting rekt by proxy....the stack on crown meta is being phased out. Spread out, git gud. You don't need to be on top of each other to take a flag. Proxi will be the bane of unskilled and unorganized players though that's for sure.
