Pretty sure the thread was locked because discussing bans is against the ToS.

OP edited his comment so mine no longer makes sense

I can see why it was locked due to talking about bans however it wasn't an eso moderated ban it was a strict Microsoft ban which is kind of out of the eso context of talking about moderation. this thread will defiantly be locked and probably be given a warning because this thread is a direct violation where as the other was more grey area of the rules.

They are real. So are the Rules of Conduct that were actually linked in the post that locked that other thread. People shouldn't agree to abide by rules they don't bother to read, then complain the thread breaking that rule was locked.

Discussing Disciplinary Actions: If you ever have questions or concerns about a disciplinary action or decision we have made on the ESO forums, or wish to appeal a forum warning or infraction you’ve received, we ask that you please contact https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/ to do so (please specify that you are contacting about a forum-related inquiry or appeal). We are happy to discuss and review specific moderation-related actions with you, but we do not allow discussion of any moderation actions or decisions on our forums. If you have questions or concerns about an in-game disciplinary action, please contact https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/ to ask about a suspension or ban, and any other support-related feedback.
