Roll back the DLC? The endless crashing is making the game unplayable

They didn't roll back the most [snip] patch ever, 1.2.3.. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I've not experienced a single crash since the release, not even when using the 64-bit client. However, I went back to the 32-bit client, not for problems with crashing, but because of the image rendering issues that numerous people have reported.

You guys should stop using the 64bit client until it is patched. From the people I have talked to that is where the major issues are at.

ZOS would probably make an even bigger mess out of the game by trying to roll it back at this point.

I have had the audio issues and the texture issues on the 64bit. The patch helped the crashing though so I guess that is something.

So, just because of the problems, the lag and the crashes ZOS should rollback the game for everyone? Because people would be so happy to have wasted a weekend of gameplay, right?

I play this game on two different machines. The first is a desktop running Windows 10 with a Nvidia 960. When I go to work, I play on my ASUS ROG G751JY-DH71 laptop running Windows 8.1 and a Nvidia 980M. I work overnights, so I can play at work for 4 or 5 hours straight before I have to stop and actually do work. I have not experienced a single crash at all, and I've been playing exclusively on the 64 bit client since the patch. I've experienced pink, texture-less pets and weird audio issues, but usually running the 64 bit client as administrator stops that jazz from happening *most* (not all) of the time for me (I still get the occasional pink pet running around). The FPS isn't that great sometimes, even after the hotifx, but I can live with it for now.

So no I don't think the patch needs to be rolled back. Hopefully they will continue gathering data, and will soon be able to determine why this is happening for some of the player base. Once they figure that out, they'll be able to fix it. I get that it's frustrating and annoying, but just breathe people. They will fix it as soon as the can. The reason they published it to live is because, obviously, this doesn't happen to everyone. Also obviously, not everyone bothers with the test server. Therefore, they need more data to analyze to figure out why this is affecting some, but not all of the users. The only way to effectively do this is publish to live. It's unfortunate, but that's the way it has to be.

The game runs great in low stress situations for me like vet daily and farming resource nodes. However in pvp the crashing is a littler much for me to bear so I'm just going to farm for a week. Shouldn't be too surprised, in the patch notes under known issues it says crashing in cryodiil. Im running an i7 4790k, gtx 970, 16 mb ram and I'm crashing more than people with lesser machines in cyro. I tried @crown 's reinstall and still didn't help (although I didnt clean install) I just wish they'd acknowledge the crashing more than they are. It seems like it's not a big issue to them.

We lowly console players really do appreciate you master racers taking the time to beta test each new DLC so it's running properly once it hits PS4. Sorry about all the crashes. Super bummer. Keep up the good work.

Most likely ZoS has already sent the DLC files for verification (hence the delay on release dates for consoles) so at this point it is already too late. Looking at how it's done from previous updates, you will get the luxury of having all the same glitches and bugs (happened before all the time, doubt it will be different this time).
    So.. Brace yourselves.

Well, IF these problems are a result of the DX11 migration, then it should not impact console players at all.

It's never a good idea to play new games or expansions at launch if you can't take the rough with the smooth, they always take a few days for problems to be hotfixed and code to be optimised. No matter how much testing is done, putting new stuff as extensive as this week's DLC and base game changes before the Live players is always going to be a different ball-game altogether. Things will settle down, but regular and frequent communication is key to maintaining an atmosphere of calm  !

I crash on both clients but also mostly when around a huge stack. 32 bit seemed to last longer in between crashes. Last night at Ghartok I was able hop in the middle of the blue group on the scroll and prox soul tether and sap my little heart out without crashing. I wasn't in group and wonder if that had anything to do with it.

The bottom line is @ZOS isn't going to roll back the DLC. They will continue to find fixes and put them in as they go along. I am using the 64 bit version of the game and had 2 crashes last night while doing Wrothgar dailies.

Regardless of how many crashes the player have, they won't roll back the DLC.

There's no need to roll back the DLC or, contextualizing, the big base game patch at least. Fortunately, I don't have problems with crashes, not now, not before the patch, but it might be because I, unfortunately, don't have a big sexy HD monitor.

However, there are a lot of things that worsened the game to my sorcerer (the only character I played so far) at the point I can't attack anything sometimes. I point, target is red bordered, I am in range, I hit, hit, hit and no animation or no sound is played, like if the attack failed.

Initially I thought it could be due terrain irregularities (remembering about Topping Charge that fail if enemy is one freaking millimeter uneven if compared to player's position) but no, I tried on the same ground as the enemies, one "step" down (terrain), above (surrounding buildings) and still, sometimes it doesn't work at all.

And this is very concerning in the matter of world bosses that every miss can be fatal.
