I don't like to post anything negative as I've really enjoyed this game, but after the build up and then the release of this DLC, I feel a bit...bleh. When I entered the new area, after an unchallenging intro quest, I was able to slap everything around like I was in an intro zone. Maybe its my old school linear mindset, and I fully admit having that, but I'm not finding too much in the way of challenges outside grinding out a new passive line and hoping to get new sets of gear which really didn't make the old obsolete. VR16 mats hop in your inventory like crazy. You'd have to ignore all nodes and kill zero mobs to avoid getting any. In the end this means a tanking of the mats industry, not to mention the one size fits all motif mats in the crown store.

Its a new place to go, a few new things to do, maybe it'll grow on me.

I really liked the last DLC so maybe I was expecting too much too soon. With their plans to release new content every quarter I hope they shoot for quality over quantity.

YMMV

Go do the trial. Every single zone in the game is easy, this isn't anything new and you shouldn't have expected otherwise IMO.

I really enjoyed the opening mission and found it hard. I'm only level 31 (scaled but we know there is a vast difference between v15 and a scaled v15). Overall am having great fun. The first mission had an Assassin's Creed vibe to it

Got my mindset into sneaking, taking my time, and of course loot all that I can lay my hands on just for the fun of it. So far I'm entertained. When the entertaining part starts dropping of, my sub is out the window and I'm of to another project. But for now, I'm content

I thought that as well, like it started to go that direction, but only so far.

You know, people do LIVE in this fantasy world, and LIVING isn't really just about killing mobs. If PVE quest is boring to you, do your trials and dailies. You don't need to mold the whole game to fit only v16s' with expensive gold gears.

Can't wait til it comes out to console! Heck with paying 45k for stack of ancestor silk. Do you have the bottomless crafting bags now also?

It kinda is an intro zone. Anyone past the intro can go there.

I think that's kind of the problem with battle levelling everything in all DLC now. It will all be like this, with no mire levels being added etc. All new content will be no real challenge. (The zones, anyway)

I'm enjoying Hew's Bane. I think it's beautifully designed, which to me is important. I have only done a few quests so far, but I found them to be interesting and challenging enough to be satisfying. The bosses could be a little tougher. I thought the size of the province was a bit small, it could be bigger. Overall, I like it, and I like the fact that they continue to release more and more content that opens up more and more of Tamriel. I began playing Elder Scrolls games with Skyrim, but so far I'm enjoying what the franchise has to offer. I think ESO and what they are doing with it offers Elder Scrolls fans a living, growing platform to enjoy. No, it's not always the most challenging. It's designed so just about anyone regardless of skill can get through the main content. Trials and Pvp are for the gamers seeking a greater challenge. Overall the quality of the story lines as well as the quality of the new province in general are pretty entertaining. I think it was well done, and I'm pleased with it overall.
