You snap up from a wrecking blow immediately, but if you're feared say goodbye to character control for a minimum of two to three seconds. And even when you break that CC there seems to be a cool down for your next ability use.
Fix that then it's whatever. I'm never out of stamina, so that isnt an issue for me.
I have no problem with Wrecking Blow they need to increase the wind up time so its not so spammable

you sure this isn't just a latency issue? I have a pretty good guess when nb's are going to use fear in their rotation (i run a nb) and if i time it right i cc break from fear immediately with no issue.
I've never seen the next ability cool down issue...if that happens its not intended and just another bug.

Maybe use a different build then?
Why the hell should I change my build over one class? That is further lroof of a broken mechanic

I usually play on low population servers with great ping and responsiveness, but from time to time it just takes my character a sec or two to cast it's next ability and it only seems like it's from fear for me. I'm sure it's not an intended part of the ability, but at least in my case that's really the only CC that causes loss of control like that. And we all know the unbreakable CC it creates from time to time.
I play a magic sorc I wished they would buff wrecking blow. Nothing wrong with it, fear gives me free cc immunity I break it in less than a second. It is not optional to not adapt to other ppls strengths, you want to build and play to be offensive and do nothing for defense. I run 7 Inpen minimum. I run immovable pots or immovable the heavy armor skill I have 50 pts in cp resistance red tree. I now have 100 in hardy. Wrecking blow hits me for 4 k even an emp hits me for 7 k to nine k. That's in light armor btw... Light. Quit asking zos to make this game any more easy mode. For fear make a separate mouse button be your break free. Also half the wrecking blows miss cause you can walk into them. I walked into a guy trying to wb me this last weekend he got so mad he gave up... never hit me once. Great players can wrecking blow anyone... Most ppl are not great players. Also for heck sake level sword and board. Spec defensive stance. Do things to make you survive rather than asking for needless nerfs.

*While you can tank hits with S+B, the problem here is if you block for too long, especially against a NB, you're going to provoke him to Fear.
There is a trick to avoid this is to block smartly and pop down your AoEs. If hes a Stamblade, he rush you with Critical Rush/Stampede/Ambuish, Talons him, move a short distance away and Flame whip his booty. Put down Eruption at your feet if he keeps gap closing. If he gets dumb and starts WB while in your Talons/Eruption, block the WB swing, and reapply your DoTs/Deep Breath. Any Stam/MagBlade is not going to want to be in range for your DoTs/Talons/Eruption. Eruption has a nasty snare on it, if you can apply the snare he's booty won't be going anywhere soon because if your not already dead by the time you apply DoTs/Talons/Eruption then you already have the upper hand since he has no element of surprise, plus hes moving really slow.
Should also make some Detect potions too. Because if he decides he's going to disengage, pop your Shield/Flappy Wings and go back to whatever you were doing. If hes nearby and you know it pop the Detect potion and go to town with him again.
This comes from someone who barely plays his V2 DK. But has plenty of experience on their v16 MagNB/v16 MagTemplar. And who has fought MagDKs on their NB.

So you have some stuff working against you.
-You're not v16 (what level are you?), not a huge deal due to battle leveling but getting the v16 willpower 3 piece w/ enchants will definitely help.
-Your stats should be higher if you are running food or drink.
-2 piece med is fine, could also try 2 piece heavy or 1 of each if you're working on getting your undaunted passives.
-If you want to be more tanky you can run more/all impen, this will give you more resist to crits.
-You're half way to cp cap, not bad but you'll also often times will be fighting people with a lot more.
CP Focus:
Magician
Arcanist
Tumbling
Blessed
Elfborn (just 1)
Ele Exepert
Thaumaturge

This is some solid advice on playstyle. Again, I'd go with immovable pots over detect ones unless you really want to track down a nb. Keep talons and cc's up and keep whippin make them roll and cc break, it's a balance game of applying pressure and maintaining resource.
Burning_Talons wrote: »C'mon OP, there are loads and loads of magic users out there that can counter these things with ease and still have the dmg output and/or sustain to kill or 1vx.
The only problem with fear is the bug where you fear or get feared through walls/environment.
The only problem with wb is the crazy range it can sometimes clip you at.
Both those problems are just frustrating but not game breaking as they don't happen often enough.
I don't through out the L2P card very often but if either of these things are the only reason you keep losing fights you are the one who needs to make adjustments.
So you are telling me I should change my whole build to counter a single broken mechanic? No thats not how it should work
