Has anyone else noticed the Camera constantly Drifting in Circles?

I can’t remember exactly when this began, but it’s been going on for a while now. While in cursor mode there is no drift, the cursor behaves like normal, but while playing if I take my hand off the mouse or even turn the mouse completely off, the camera circles endlessly round in whatever direction I last looked - so if I nudged the view up a bit it would just keep looking up and up as far as it would go, if I looked slightly to the side it will continue to rotate around automatically even though I am not moving it further in that direction. Or say I turn to my right and then start running forward while no longer even touching the mouse, the camera will keep on turning further and further to the right and I’ll find myself not running in a straight line at all. And if I come to a standstill and take my hand off the mouse for a moment my view will be circling round my character like it did in Skyrim when you were idle for too long.

It IS possible to make it stop by a very careful series of minute counter nudges, but most of the time (without the constant counter measures) it’s just always drifting in one direction or another. I don’t understand what’s going on with this. It can’t be a problem with the mouse since it doesn’t do this in cursor mode or in other programs.

This drift has sometimes caused me to accidentally click on something other than what I was aiming for as my view glides right past it to something else, so I’ve ended up accidentally stealing or opening the wrong container, and it has sometimes messed up my aim in a fight, or I’ve ended up running into things because I can’t walk straight - I have to keep wiggling my view ack and forth to stop it drifting too far right or left. I just don’t know what’s going on and I’m getting tired of dealing with it.

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Try unplugging your mouse and see if it still happens.

I have a wireless mouse which I have already tried turning off so the computer has nothing that would be giving it that kind of input.

I had this issue and fixed it with the solution in this thread: forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/250177/drifting-movement-camera

Basically, I went to the folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client

and right-clicked on ESO64.EXE (because I was using the 64 bit client, but I imagine the same would work for the 32-bit eso.exe) and selected Properties.

Then clicked on the "Compatibility" tab and Checked the "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" box and clicked Apply/OK.

Then I ran eso64.exe and the drifting camera was gone! Hope it works for you too.

I experienced this yesterday when trying the 64bit client, it is annoying. Thanks for the tip!

I haven't found a solution yet on this. it's because of high DPI probably but disabling it as mentioned above through compatibility didn't fix it for me...

Also, reverted the windows speed enhance and that stuff back to default but still... It became unplayable really slow....and had to increase it through my mouses application control some bit.
