So how do you know if your pc can run the new DirectX 11 system? And also the 64 bit client? (I know ESO doesn't support DirectX 9 anymore)

Run dxdiag from a windows search, at the bottom of the first screen it'll say your DirectX version.

    Otherwise what is your GPU?

I don't know anything about computers to be honest. I have an AMD Radeon HD 8570D Graphics card. What is dxdiag?

Press the Windows symbol key, (between Ctrl and Alt), and press R at the same time. A run box will come up, type dxdiag into it and press OK. Look at the bottom of the list when the new window shows up :)

Dxdiag is just the information panel on your graphics drivers. Type in "dxdiag" in your Start bar or search for "Run" and type "dxdiag" into that. You'll get a window with the version of DirectX you're running at the bottom. Given a Radeon HD 8570D you should be running DX11 anyway.

Only way to know if the 64-bit client works is to run it. For that you'll have to manually locate it in the ESO folder, which should be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU\game\client" and the launcher to use is eso64.exe. You can also right-click it and use "Send To" to create a shortcut on Desktop.

Open google, search for the card with the specifics you gave, navigate to the manufacturer website (AMD), check the overview given. First bullet point in the list: ready for windows 8 gaming and directX 11.1. Yes, it is directX 11 ready.

Thanks, I heard you can't run the 64-bit unless you have over 3-4 GB, I have 8GB. So I think I'll be good on both of those.

Yeah you will. 8Gb is about the standard of most PCs these days but most games don't even use or need that much memory. Though if you're a 3D designer that's a different story...

I cant help myself checking the video card on these types of posts lol, I built my own computer and went through a ton of comparison and bench mark stats before i finally bought a GPU.

I know it has been answered already but here ya go.

    "AMD Radeon HD 8570D

    "DirectX 11, Shader 5.0"

    AMD Radeon HD 8570D
The AMD Radeon HD 8570D is a processor graphics card in the desktop Richland A8 series of APUs from AMD (e.g. A8-6600K). It is the second fastest model of its family and is based on the VLIW4 architecture of the Radeon HD 6900 desktop series. Compared to the faster HD 8670D, the 8570D features much less shader cores (384 vs. 256 cores). The graphics card features no dedicated graphics memory and thus depends on the speed and size of the system memory.

The performance of the Radeon HD 8570D differs depending on the benchmark. In synthetic benchmarks like 3DMark 11, final scores suggest better gaming performance when in practice the frame rates are slightly lower. In our gaming tests the HD 8570D was similar to the fastest Trinity desktop model, the Radeon HD 7660D, which features more shader cores at lower clock speeds. Demanding games like Crysis 3 are therefore only playable in low details and resolutions (see below).

The integrated UVD3 video decoder (Avivo HD) allows full decoding of Multi-View Codec (MVC), MPEG-4 Part 2 (DivX, xVid), MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 and Adobe Flash HD videos.

The shader cores of the chip can also be used for general computing via OpenCL or DirectCompute 11."
