Group Finder desperately needs to be fixed!

It simply doest work as it should, nearly useless.
A LOT of times I had a group of healer, tank and dps queued for a dungeon and could not find another DPS. Once we waited for nearly an hour. It simply cant be that no DPS were looking for a group - and it was the daily pledge.

The problem seems to happen everytime the group finder put me in a 3 ppl group. Now I just give up and quit. Even if the other two players are tank and heal, the group finder seems unable to fill a group properly. And since Im a no-guild player this is specially infuriating.

I have a healer friend and we barely get to form a group via group finder anyway! So whats the point of that SH*T!??

Group finder hasn't been utilized or worked properly (depends on who you ask) for a long time now.

The group finder tools technically works fine for what it is (could do with some features though) but nobody uses it because it doesn't have the features most people want from it.

I think this game needs best possible group finder as theres tons of group content, so my suggestion is, for example. Player wants to form a gank group for Cyrodil, he puts a request, when request is put on, all players see it on their UI, if they help the guy, they get reward, more you help, better your reward is. This should mean, even population goes low, and even more group-content is added, every player get them done.

950 hours played - only 31 dungeons completed and that's because group finder is ***. Either I pray it works or I spend hours spamming area chat. I basically gave up on doing dungeons all together.

What do people want from it? Don't "people" want to find a group using that tool?

This is my first post and this is exactly why I came here because I asked the same question in a zone in game and someone replied that there needs to be perks to use it. WHAT?!? If it is not obvious, the perk is to complete dungeons that you cannot solo and experience content you cannot do with 1 or 2 buddies.

From the second I log in (I am a tank) I put myself in the que for group finder; the problem is that the community is not using it. Start using it; it will work!

Group finder is getting a massive overhaul next week, guys.

Orsinium/Patch 2.2 are revamping the entire thing, and introducing cross-faction dungeon groups.

So much for the overhaul. It still suffers from the same problems such as even if my group is at 3/4 including a tank, healer and a dps, we waited for 45 min to find a final dps, for normal White-Gold Tower.

By then our existing dps had gone offline so we were back to 3/4.

We waited another 15 min to get to 4/4 players but then one of the DPS was getting an error when attempting to port in saying that they can't mix alliances................................. Then the other DPS went offline.

There went an hour of my brief period in the evening that I could get on ESO.

You do understand that has nothing to do with the LFG tool's ability to function and more to do with the lack of players using it right?

The LFG tool has been functioning fine for a year, but people keep passing stupid rumors around about it "needing fixed" instead of "I'd like a different design of the LFG tool" which is what they really mean.

It will never work properly. They should just scrap it.

What they should do is just make it so you can start a lobby. Anyone looking for a group goes to the lobby list and picks one to join....seems simple to me.

Didn't cross-faction groups only become possible with Orsinium?

IMO, the group finder should fill two purposes:

1. Group people looking to run the same dungeon
2. Teleport those people into the dungeon once a group has been formed.

That's it. I could care less (but not much less) about faction and roles. I'd rather be in a group with no healer, one tank and two DPS or two healers, no tank and two dps and at least attempt the dungeon than sitting around waiting for an hour or more looking for that last role to form a balanced group.

And no doubt, when that group actually forms...not everybody notices and bothers to port to the dungeon. And you can't tell them the group has formed because they're in another chat channel...or their mic is unplugged. And I'm just too damn lazy to switch out of ESO to send a PSN message to them.

Group Finder found me a group yesterday for the vet pledge, VR16 vCoA. Unfortunately the group finder gave me a VR12 DPS, VR15 heals and a VR16 tank. Wouldn't have been bad for nearly any dungeon, but vCoA requires a DPS race for gold key. After about 20 wipes on the last boss we decided just to go silver. Even with a VR15 DPS it may have been accomplished. There is absolutely no reason to put a VR12 DPS in a VR16 dungeon.

Really happy it's finally giving out groups. Should be tweaked a bit though.

Not being able to specify the levels that you are willing to group with is a huge oversight. Maybe one could understand how the people writing this stuff don't understand the game, but their supervisor should be reviewing their work and their supervisor should understand the game.

Could a bit part of the problem be because people dont want to join groups? A lot of times,when I ask someone to hroup with me for a delve,they decline.Most of the time,actually.Just once in a while will omeone want to.A few times they ask me to group,but not often,

Group members are now battle-leveled to VR16. Well, on PC anyway. Us console peasants need to wait another week.

Speaking for myself, I'll decline (or ignore) blind group-invites. And seeing as I don't bother to plug my mic in (and often play with no sound), odds are pretty good I'd never even know if you were trying to ask me to group up.

I don't know whether it's just me. But for the last few nights, I matched multiple groups for a specific dungeon only to find the players leave within the first 2 minutes without even giving the dungeon and the group a go.

Last night I spent 2 hours joining about 8 groups...all of which disbanded before even trying the dungeon. Not sure why they are even queuing in the first place.

This needs to be fixed. Perhaps ZOS could give players an incentive to use the Find Group facility by giving them some kind of a buff for loot or stats and at the same time, a debuff which would penalize players who choose to quit prematurely.

Drex a lot of v16s will leave if they end up in a group with low levels. Yes I know about dungeon scaling.

Its managed to work for me once in the past few months, i usually lead in forming groups and throw the group finder in just for backup, little success but it has worked for me.

I play on a vet 16 so it can't be me that's causing them to disband. I'm sure I had at least 2 groups last night that were all vet 16 too.

Hopefully Housing is coming soon we might be able to store builds/gears, so one player could queue up with multiple roles. I'd like 5 slots for storing gears/builds, tank, healer, dps, and then couple for PVP.

The group finder tool sucks!

I wait for 2 hours and 30 minutes and it finds me a group that is half way done. Now i have to wait again, because I did not get any credit for helping the group.

I use group finder damn near daily on my 3 main characters. On my dps it's a bit harder...because most people are dps. My tank pops in less than 30 seconds each time, healer is just about the same. What I do, after the timer hits 1 minute in que, exit group finder and re-que. I'd say it's working fine

I think you are right, the problem i may have had was I am dps.

I don't mind waiting, but when I found a group ( which already started the dungeon ), it did not give my my fighters guild quest nor did it mark the dungeon as complete after I killed the boss.

So I re-qued for hours and with no luck.

Maybe joining a guild may help, but still for me this group finder tool has been a waste of time. I wish they would let me play PvP while waiting, but that is not an option.
