Mages guild ability - magelight

I'm unsure if I should morph this to inner light (increase max magicka) or radiant magelight (reveals hidden enemies).

I have a high elf Templar and I like to spend most of my time atm in the IC sewers, can anyone help make my mind up which morph I should go for?

    Rule of Thumb:

Magelight for PvP, Inner Light for PvE

While you can use Sneak to see if someone it trying to hide from you in the sewers, Magelight is better as it reveals them.

I think there are some changes coming for this skill with the TG, not sure the total impact myself, but might want to look at the PTS notes to see what the changes are regarding hidden players.

Radiant will no longer be a toggle, it will be click to activate and keep a player from restealthing for 3 sec.

Aren't they getting rid of toggle for both morphs?

From the base PTS patch notes:

    Mages Guild
    Magelight:
This ability and its morphs are no longer toggle abilities; instead, they will grant their Critical Strike rating benefits as long as they are slotted (similar to Expert Hunter).
Magelight can now be activated to summon a mote of magelight which exposes hidden or invisible enemies in an 8 meter radius for 5 seconds, and prevents revealed enemies from returning to stealth for 5 seconds.
This ability and the Radiant Magelight morph no longer decrease your maximum Magicka, due to the toggle changes noted above.
The Radiant Magelight morph will continue to prevent you from being stunned by stealth attacks, and will reduce damage from stealth attacks while slotted as a morph effect. Activating it also increases the radius of the activated reveal to 12 meters, and reduces the cost.
The Inner Light morph will continue to increase your maximum Magicka while slotted.
Might of the Guild: This passive ability can now proc the Empower buff from Magelight and its morphs.

Note that these from from the base PTS patch notes. I know the 5 second lock-out is being reduced to 3 seconds. Not sure if other changes have been, or are being, made to this. Just remember, these are PTS notes, and what goes live may be different.

Anyway, if you rely on Inner Light (mainly the 5% max magicka, as you can run spell pwr pots for the crit) for your build, then you will run Inner Light. Otherwise, you can't really go wrong with having Radiant Mage Light on your bar in the narrow corridors of the sewers. Just remember, currently you lose some max magicka (spendable; has no effect on your sp dmg) for slotting Radiant.

Shame we don't have separate profiles for PvP and PvE that would allow us to choose different morphs of skills for each. Just a thought @Wrobel 's team.

Wait until Monday to make your decision. As others have alluded to, Magelight and its morphs are changing drastically in this update. The patch notes from PTS have been helpfully pasted above by @Refuse2GrowUp but we don't yet know if the version of Magelight that hits live will be exactly the same as the version on PTS at the moment. It's unlikely they'd make any major changes between that version and live, but there may be a tweak or two, so if I were you I'd wait until Monday to make your decision.
