Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

If you could add ANY skill to the game, what would it be?

Telekinesis - like the one found in Morrowind.

I used to have too much fun with that spell.

I kind of think that Morrowind had more fun skills and spells than any of the games since. I may be partial, but when you think about them all it's great. Too bad we cant make our own spells, like MW.

Necromancy skill line under World Skills. And let's not cap the summons at 2 strong zombies/skeletons. I'd much prefer several weak ones to just one or two strong ones. Or, alternatively, the choice to have several weak summons or just a few or even one very strong summon. I'd personally like for such a practice to be criminal offence (but I felt the same way about vampires, and that might not be a very popular way of implementing such a skill.... unless there were vampire covens or necromancer fortresses to conduct business. Perhaps not criminal in Cyrodiil, though.

I'd also like to see racial ultimates. They could be inspired from the racial abilities in Skyrim, if you wish. I can't quite remember them, but something like:

Orc: +50% damage, reduce incoming damage 50% for a few seconds
Redguard: extremely fast stamina regen during combat for a certain amount of time.
Dunmer: fire aura (flame cloak), mild damage to area around caster for a certain amount of time.
Altmer: extremely fast mana regen during combat
    Argonian: something useless no doubt
Bosmer: summon creature (summoning a wolf at this point would likely be pretty lame, unless said wolf would root enemies in place and be able to take a couple hits)
Breton: high magic resistence for several seconds, or maybe a 100% health shield to magicka?
Nord: Battle cry, not only causes enemies to flee, but reduces the effectiveness of their armor (physical and magic resist)
Imperial: not sure how voice of the emperor would work in an mmo for an ultimate...
Khajiit: I can't remember the one from Skyrim.... Maybe a stealth racial ultimate? That might be fun.

Cooldowns. It is kinda dumb that archer can't kite melee because melee mashes SpAmbush button.
@d0e1ow: There is no singular thing within a game's little ecosystem that will convince you that you hate the game, hate your life, and hate everyone around you faster than the game's official forums will.

@TaffyIX: Life is too short to get upset by a video game.

How about a whole new class such as a bard or shaman type from EQ1, A support class that can cast haste to make light and heavy attacks more usefull, they would have magic regen group spells and sta regen group spells, health regen spells. Psychical resist and spell resist group spells. Everyone wanted a bard or Shamy in their group for the utility buffs.

Teleport (for traveling to a wayshrine or other preset destination for free), because #@%& wayshrine recall prices.

Maybe with a morph that makes a portal for the whole group to enjoy.

A charisma passive, meaning that if you get caught thieving and such, the higher your level is, there is a chance you can get witnesses or guards to 'look the other way', and maybe unlock hidden dialog for quests. Basically persuade but with more depth.

Skill wise (inspired by the frostbreath comment), an elemental morph for dragon-knights, which focuses on either magicka stamina or health based skills and passives, depending on the element which is your main focus.

A Templar AOE skill, see below.

Ring of Light - Instant Ability - A circle of pure light that does x damage to all players in x meters. Morphs could include a smaller radius with more damage or a larger radius that does damage as well as heal allies.

The effect could be similar to backlash in which all enemies are hit with a beam of magic damage.

Look at one of your Guild Rosters and TP to a player in the area you're going to. It's free. You may already know this, but I'm just saying in case you don't.

I'd like a new skill line for hand-to-hand/unarmed combat, something similar to what's suggested in this comment, though I'd also want to see AOE/single-target knockbacks as well as stamina drain added to higher-tier abilities in the line, in keeping with TES lore for unarmed combat.
AD is the best looking faction. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.

Athletics. Man the jumping was fun :P

Oh yes, I miss that jumping from rock to rock - but it will not help as much as it did in Oblvion - mob just turns around and is fully healed when they discover they cannot get up to where you are. This took away a lot of the fun to use the environment to fight mobs instead to just go straight ahead head on towards them. Athletics was a major skill in Oblivion which was very nice to have as well as acrobatics - I think it was acrobatics what you mean, not athletics, what was for jumping improvement.

    Yeah, that was acrobatics :)
And it was so much fun :D

Quicksand. Cast quicksand and watch as enemy players slooooowly struggle to get out. Flopping and rolling while I plink away at them, giggling.

Tarpit morph of quicksand. Sink into the depths, unable to escape and your enemies preserved loot goes to fund the Museum of Orsimer Glories.

Bog morph of quicksand. Sink into the slimy depths and call hagravens to your side to clean the bones of your enemy, then raise him up to fight for you and you go off with your slimy undead army.

    Sounds kinda like Desecrated Ground

Or Voice of the Dragon, with effect like Death's Wind armor
Khajiit: I can't remember the one from Skyrim.... Maybe a stealth racial ultimate? That might be fun.
But since we have invisibility pots and NB skill, seems redundant

How about Shred, a spinning slash of all enemies around for a set radius with some damage, but also a small disease DOT with NO endpoint, which only stops once enemy is healed (any active healing spell/ability) or dead.

I could look it up, but I think it was just night vision as a minor power and fear as a major power once a day. And of course those were active abilities, to be casted, not passive ones.
