How to fight traitors

So, I am sitting in stealth as a DC group of 4 met up with one of my faction (AD). I didn't attack because it looked like a watch-worthy duel was going to begin. It turned out the AD was a buddy of theirs and stood next to me to 'mark' me so they could attack me, then chased me for almost 5 minutes around Cyrodiil. I couldn't get away from this group as the treacherous AD kept running to me to give away my every location. Twice I fell victim to this strategy followed with T-bags. I don't think he wanted me to mention any names because I guess the guy running this scheme is the gm of a 'mighty' DUELING guild, but I would like to know if there is a way to stop or hide from faction saboteurs to counter this exploit?

ZOS whilst never making a massive response to this, have in the past warned/banned people for doing things against the spirit of the game.

I wish there was a way to deal with this kind of behavior. It happens frequently. We had one guy came over to our stealthed group and started jumping up and down to alert the enemy... and he was 3 on the leaderboards. If he had been in the first place, I would have rather left the campaign over helping him get emp.

Nothing you can do but don't hang around so long, it does suck, I see blue hanging out around red and visa versa, all this willy nilly faction swapping in this game has pretty much ruined the spirit of the three faction warfare. I would have announced his name in zone chat for a warning to others.

Saddly their is no real way to fight against spies or traitors as you are saying which does make zone chat in AvA hard.

At the very least, there should be no problem with posting videos without commentary and without redactions that show exactly what people are doing.

There are 2 ways to get rid of it.

1. Run into a friendly group
2. Run into an enemy group.

Next DLC get on your Alt and walk up to that group and pawn the traitor ...unless you have one parked there now

Or just have friends in other factions. When I need someone "taken care of", I get them jumped. Hilarious watching their group of friends be unable to do anything while the "random" flattens them.

I recently got invited to a duel. 1v1 style. When I showed up I was jumped by 5 different people. Fine, whatever. I came back to watch in stealth to see if they did that to others and they had someone in my faction there. He promptly ran over and identified my location and I was jumped again.

If folks want to play like that really not much you can do. I just left Scourge and logged into Azura's.

Here is how you deal with them:

1. Wait until next patch once ppl have VD.
2. Slot Spell Sym.
3. Run around next to the 'traitors' while spamming Spell Sym.
4. ????
5. Profit.

Lol he's talking about me. I was getting ready to duel someone when the person who I was about to duel goes up to OP and says "There's a ganker right ontop of me, he's sitting in stealth." I proceed to go and kill him. After this, OP constantly starts bombarding me w/ PM's. I tell him to calm down and I didn't know he was spectating (I mean WTF can you expect when your friend says a SNEAKING NIGHTBLADE w/ Bow out is a ganker?). Some of the PM's he sent was that "I have something coming" and that he'll "kill me when I least expect."

So fast forward a couple minutes, and I'm about to duel ANOTHER player. The new person I'm about to duel points out AGAIN that OP is there. I proceed to OP, chase him down, and kill him (Obviously as this time he actually said he was going to gank me and is sitting in stealth). This is when I proceed to t-bag him. Then he pm's me in huge bombards again just ranting at me.

OP, you need to calm the hell down. It's a game, you get tbagged, I thought you were going to gank me (and you did later on actually lol). And does it matter if I'm a GM of a dueling guild? I can tbag who I want, I'm still a regular PvPer. Chill out.

Don't watch duels in stealth it gives ppl the wrong impression. Also put your weapon away.

My thanks to everyone for sharing ideas on how to counter this exploit... it looks like ESO would have to re-arrange some mechanics to really put an end to such.

Yoyuyi!? Oh this just keeps getting richer... it was you who ganked a lone spectator with your entourage and the help of a treacherous AD? It was Yoyuyi who chased a lone spectating NB for almost 5 minutes through Eastern Cyro with a group of 5 using the exploits of a traitor?? I guess I was wrong to think such methods were beneath you : / AND T-BAGGING?? Dude... you just went from respectable to rude in 1 post; I would've stayed quiet.

Coming from other MMO's I think ESO has a good gaming community; but going savage like that in the name of 'Pvping' will eventually deteriorate the honor system that Cyrodiil's dueling organizations depends on. My advice to Yoyuyi and such culprits: don't rely on faction exploits and try to keep it civil- especially if you depend on the honor of others for dueling events.

The first kill was a misunderstanding. But after that kill, you start bombarding me with ragetells, attempting to provoke me and saying you were going to gank me.

The second kill I killed you because you LITERALLY said you were going to *** gank me.

I don't want anyone ganking me while I'm about to duel. Also, do what the above said if you choose to watch. Don't sit in stealth with yor weapon out, instead get out of stealth and sheathe your weapon. Makes it a lot less suspicious.

Oh and stop taking this so seriously.

Just stop with the entitlement facade already. Its Cyrodiil, people die. Hell ive killed every person in this thread, many many times, and most of them have killed me. Its a damn video game dude.

Additonally, do not stealth near duelers. Its pretty much code for "i am gonna try to steal me an e-peen killing blow on this guy i dont like"

Even those of us that dont duel know the damn etiquette. You wanna watch? /sitchair or stand back in plain view with your weapons sheathed like a good boy, or fair game. On the flip side, duelers know to generally stay away from active fights or we will kill them as they become fair game (ganking keep attack/defense groups, etc)

Its just common sense.

Also to more directly answer the OP's thread title. Simply get with the times and make multifaction toons. Then when someone rustles your jimmies, you simply log into a different faction toon and slay that dragon (assuming youre not totally incompetent and could actually beat them, that is)

In terms of unethical behaviour in this game, colluding with the enemy is about as bad as it gets. When I'd witness behaviour that could well be interpreted that way, my first reaction certainly would not be to get out of stealth and sit on a chair.
