Tg isn't even out yet and everyone is now running mage light. Is it me or has anyone else noticed this?

....................people have used magelight since the start of the game it always have been a nice skill, if you are one of those teens that watch streams on twitch and have a herd mentality shoo, if you are new and read the forums then here you have your answer.
    Some of my favorite screenshots
My opinions and posts are mostly on a PvE setting.

Could be some people are using it to level it up. So that they would have it maxed out by the time TG is out.

Don't bring common sense to the forums, it will blow people's minds and you will be held responsible.

It's going to be a buff ability in the patch, will only last a set amount of time before you need to re-cast! What exactly is the issue?

The issues is that it locks NBs from using cloak...

That sounds like the exact opposite of an issue.

it locks them out whilst there next to someone who's using it, Mage light is designed to show people in stealth, what exactly is the problem....

If I want to escape I roll dodge, sprint, Cloak. This is nothing different from what I do now to create distance and space if I'm fleeing. Normally you need to create distance from a smart persons AOE anyway.....

Once the magicka NBs get their vicious death + clever alchemist gear, no one will be complaining about magelight except them.

I don't see the issue invisibility needed a counter. I agree you shouldn't have skills that make other skill unusable but when we are talking about literally being invisible then it needs some type of counter.

    Possibly.
It shouldn't really take long to get it to IV though.

My main is a Magick Nightblade. I love Radiant Magelight. It adds a challenge to running around invisible. It is by no means a lock out.

However it is being ruined in Thieves Guild and finding nightblades is going to be a real pain. I suggest everyone start using lingering flare. It is about the only way that will be left to deal with us pesky nightblades for magic users. Stamina ones can continue with caltrops.

1.So people are just supposed to run around spamming Aoe so they don't get ganked?

    2.You have a point.

    3. Does nothing for people running alts or just starting out who don't have support rank 7 and has crap radius.

4.Is a NB skill that the other 3 classes can't use.

Invisibility needed a counter and they just took away one that was very good at it.

Radiant Mage Light cannot be used to detect people cloaking near you anymore. It's only used to reveal player's and prevent them from going back to stealth/invis... IF you know they are around that is. Something you won't know anymore.

One of the core reason's i used RML on my stamina nightblade was to counter gank ganker's. I could easily find people hiding with RML even if they were cloaking around. I guess this is one element of gameplay Zos did not like.

Personally, i would be fine if the change to RML specifically was reverted or switched to a 30 second buff. This way you could still tell who has RML active/slotted with the stealth damage mitigation. The whole stealth damage mitigation with just RML slotted is way to strong. I don't know who could turn this down...

Inner light on the other hand did need a little something. This 3 second reveal is nice and i see no harm done. It cost's a fair amount so it even's out. Leave this morph the way it is.

I really wish their was more support to change Radiant Mage Light. The sentry set combo with Radiant Mage Light when it was a toggle was great. It was the perfect anti stealth gank build. Something i will miss for sure.

    1. no you use one to prevent them cloaking as cloak is the issue being discussed not stealth which all characters have access to to find someone already hidden see 2.
    2.thanks
    3. alts and lowbies are easy kills for any class plus the same could be said for shieldbreaker the only counter to shield stacking and useless for magicka builds.
    4. true but i was listing available counters to 1 skill. we could try the same for other defensive options on other classes
reflect is channels and melee but melee not preferable cause whips
templar healing major defile diesase enchants
sorc shields shield breaker set not viable for many builds and not readily available

none of the counters except magelight prevent a skill being used and cloak has the most counters already

    Thats not what I said.

If you are brought out of stealth you cannot use cloak for 3 seconds, thus locking it out.

There will be 3 reasons you are seeing more people with Magelight.

    1) Magelight has been buffed and debated highly so it's at the forefront of your mind so anytime you see it now it registers with you. Plenty ran it before the Natch Potes you will just notice it more.

    2) Magelight takes a while to level up and more people went for the Inner Light Morph than Radiant Magelight IMO so people have slotted it now after remorphing to level up the other side.

    3) Anyone who hates Nightblades will be licking their lips for this change and have already started implementing it into their build so when the changes come it's.not going to be a shock to have 1 less skill on either one or two bars
Once the non toggle comes it will feel like Christmas having a whole new skill slot to utilise however you like.

In case you couldn't tell I'm the 3rd option and can't wait as a Templar to have an extra skill...But I would trade it all for a fully functioning Toppling Charge ....Sigh

    Not true

When you are brought out of stealth by another player you cannot cloak for 3 secs.....the skill is greyed out and cannot be pressed regardless of who is around

It's turning to a go-to skill for plebs who can't kill nightblades in the current game.

    Gave up.
