It depends on the clipping. If it's something that can - and should - be fixed, it should be. Like prop items clipping into geographical things. Other things, such as weapons clipping into player model, isn't as easily fixed due to them not having a physical calculation attached to them and as such don't know how to interact with the player models. Meaning that clipping will happen.
Some can be fixed, some can't. All in all, I wouldn't mind it being fixed but as it is it doesn't make a difference on my entertainment in this game.
Hard to answer. In some cases clipping really saves my ass. I also think a lot of players does clipping naturally without actually knowing they're cancelling an animation.
One example is when using Dawnbreaker in vMA, If I cant clip or end that stupid animation with block or dodge directly after as templar, I might die in mele range. Same with a lot of defensive skills, where I'd be dead all the damn time if I had to wait for the animation to run it's course.
Meanwhile there's moments in PvP where I just hate it so much. You get clipped heavy attacks hidden under a Wrecking Blow that's also animation clipped with bash and you take like 30k dps in your face. It's really annoying when you cant see what opponents are doing in actual real time PvP. Clipping makes it impossible to time correct counters.
Best solution is removing or trimming down pointless animations all together. I dont see the purpose of it since it's making gameplay much more messy and ofc much more difficult for people not knowing the drill. If a skill is suppose to take 1 second it shouldn't take 1.3 because some animation to add "immersion".
On regular armor/costumes, not that much.
On crown store costumes? Absolutely unacceptable.

And Even when it isnt about clipping everything just looks floaty and painted on and the weapons look like toy weapons

I dont care if for instance, my staff moves through my body in certain animations, but some costumes where the clipping just makes them look really BAD (for instance the free v16 reward costume) just is ridiculous and should not even exist in game as it is.
