Does anybody take a long time with this game?

I don't want to be the only one feeling like I'm struggling with this game or taking too long. I got a v16 with decent stats and have never completed Trials. I've only completed VDSA for the first time last week and got my first Molag Kena head like two weeks ago. Completed VWGT once a few months ago, but didn't complete it again until like two weeks ago which I did for the second time and so forth. I have not done Prison yet. I don't care about completing Trials so much anymore as I switched to pvp. Tried to get emp, got to first place, but failed at it so I didn't get it. I'm struggling with this game a lot it's not funny. I take a long time to get everything done. I also take too long to power level. It takes me like 5 hours to get one vet level which is extremely slow I've been told. So does anyone have any advice on how to get stuff done faster?

My friend and everyone else thinks it's because I've been playing the wrong class for stuff. I didn't bother leveling a new character again to do pve stuff because the good players didn't really want me to do stuff with them in the first so I thought there was no point in leveling a new character. Now I realized how dumb that was because there are now other good players that were willing to do stuff with me regardless of classes.

I just got my first max level character about a month ago. Been playing since launch. Came close a couple times but they always raised the cap just before I hit it. I like taking my time exploring. Doing every single achievement along the way.

I used to like taking my time until I realized I was missing out and by the time I got to end game stats and gear, everyone already formed their own pve groups unfortunately and didn't want new people. Joining guilds at the time did not help. It took me a long time for me to find the right guilds and people that'll finally do some stuff with me. And I didn't care too much for pvp at all for the first few months since the day came out until Dec.

You're console, yes? You've done a lot in that short time, give yourself some credit :)

I've been here since Beta (2 years now) and have not gotten Emp or completed SO. Probably won't either and most likely will never see ICP or the new Trial.

I started this game in July and haven't accomplished much. I started feeling discouraged after a lot of good pve players refused to play with me so I kind of just said f it and gave up on pve and leveling a pve character cause I didn't see the point. Then later on I found out other good pve players were willing to play with me... Crap, I should've leveled a character up.

I attempted vMSA for the first time last week. I couldn't beat it, but to be fair I wasn't there for that long cause I wanted to save my stuff for an emp push. I'll reattempt it again afterwards, but this one's on me.

I bought this game before it was released, and started playing in the betas.I still havent done it all, even though I have three vets.I love taking my time.ESO isnt meant to be rushed through.
It's like a rose that hasnt opened up totally. You must It takes time to unfurl each petal, and you must wait for it.
If all you want to do is to get to the endgame,ESO will not be a game you'll be happy with.

I'm console yeah. I have a really good friend that's been helping me with this game a lot and I've gotten stuff done more thanks to him. Though it's discouraging when his old friends didn't want to play with me because I was new and that really discouraged me. It felt like even if I got better none of the good players would give me a chance regardless because their first impression of me was that because I was a bad player.

A lot of people I know power leveled and got to end game content since first month of game release on console... I took my time because I didn't want to rush it, but now is the time for me to do end game because I'm fully geared and got the best stats I could do for now.

If you're ready then by all means finish the game. You cam return to lower levels and take up the challenge of getting all the achievements and Lore books,if you like.

You make it sound like it's so easy. It's hard to find people to do this stuff with all the time though. I have to plan who I do it with according to everybody's schedule. I got a few people who I've ran with and willing to do it. But I haven't been able to because I've been power leveling another toon which was taking too long when it shouldn't have which is another thing that's been annoying me. So that's why I haven't been doing VWGT. I should've been able to reach a few vet levels a day plus VWGT runs, but that didn't happen.

I should have added that I dont do it with others for the most part.I never do a real group, other than running along side another player who is doing a delve or dungeon.
I understand how frustrating it can be if you do want to group up though. If you cant find anyone do what I have done two times and it worked.I ask for help in chat, and both times someone came to me aide.

Being a old time gamer here I can tell you that ESO is very easy to get to max lvl,and even get the gear you want. See I come from playing the best MMO to date(my opinion) EverQuest. That game took forever to get to max lvl,and it took a great guild to get end game gear. No other MMO to date has come close to what EverQuest did and offered. That game caused people there real life jobs, and marriages. Do you see any MMO today causing that?? Now that is a game that sucked you in and didn't let go. I took a weeks vacation just to run raids with my guild. Now that is pretty bad,LOL.

So ESO is very user friendly. I love playing this game. So just play and have fun.

Same here... Been playing since launch, just hit v16 with my first character last week....

For the most part, I play solo, though I recently joined a guild and am starting to get into group content. Finally found a playing style I like.

Another reason why I wish text chat was added because guys lose their sh*t in area chat when they hear a female voice so I didn't want to deal with that. Group finder has been fine for most vet dungeons and I got some friends/guild mates that can help with the dungeons including VWGT. My biggest challenges are finding people to do Trials, and Prison with.

I'm with you in that ESO is an easy fun kick back game to play.It has a life that thrives, and I dont find that in any other game I have played, and there are many.
I still have Everquest, but I didnt gel with it for some reason. It sits on my shelf with my Final Fantasy set of games that I inherited. When my friend Jim passed on,he bequeathed me his entire home.Furniture,food,money,..everything.With it came his over 300 game collection. I have many of the games people tout here, and dont enjoy much of those.

It's weird I don't have this much problem with any other games except this. Neverwinter I had some trouble with it in the beginning (pay to win), but it didn't take as long as ESO. Every other game I breezed through it fine with multiple characters and had people to raid with. I don't know what this game is about that I'm struggling the most, but it bums me out. I noticed the situation got a little better when I switched alliances and found better people to play with. Elitism is very toxic to me in this game.

The people in this game are very black and white. The people that are willing to do stuff with others can't complete hard dungeons unfortunately and the ones that can complete them refuse to play with people outside their clique. Leaving unskilled (and even skilled) players out. I'm willing to help people beat dungeons, but I'm not even the best at them because I can't carry the whole team. I need people to work together with me to get better, but most don't want to put in the work.

This game (and every TES game) was made for exploring. I just love to sometimes take my main and go back to previous zones to admire the landscape/lore/quests/...

I started my 2nd char about 40 days ago (horse speed upgrades :p ) and I didn't grind once. I finished Cadwell's Gold yesterday, doing Wrothgar today and hoping to reach v16 with him today as well.

It feels much better to take your time and enjoy the world/story, it makes for a stronger char too :p since you'll be gathering skill points and skyshards as well.

    Just enjoy the game ;)

Yes. I played ESO for like a month after launch but didnt really get into it. I've been back for about 6 months now(taking a break from WoW) and I find I like the game a lot now. I like the crafting and immersive game play. But in those 6 months, I have gotten one toon to vr9 will probably hit vr10 today. So yeah, you can say 6 months of playing and not reaching max lvl is pretty long yes?

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

Also,if you just take it as it comes and not push it,there is much less stress and angst. I love to make new alts and do all the lower quests. Not because they are easy, per se,but because they are much more fun than when you get higher in the levels. It tends to get more serious the higher you go,and more stressful sometime. At least that's what I've found anyway.

I play with a mixture of people, but most of the people I play with already did and completed end game content (emp, got their dungeon gear, and completed VDSA and trials) and are moving onto other stuff. I want to enjoy the game, but playing with hardcore players makes me want to complete stuff and I can't because most. people don't want to do it with me, can't do it, or they moved on.

Also,I go wait outside the delve until someone else comes along and id going in.I just r un beside them and we get it done.No need to know them or group with them either.
