Faction Loyalty

Hello,

All 8 of my characters are in the Daggerfall Covenant and have been since Launch.

Could those people loyal to a faction get some sort of benefit? Maybe if someone has 5 vet characters in the same faction they get access to a special faction vendor that sells cool items and if they have 8 characters in the same faction then they can buy those items for a discount.

Doesn't that sound cool?

Or maybe there could be alliance ranks like "noble" or something.

I have 7 EP characters & one DC char... I could delete the DC guy pretty quickly & make another pact guy if it was worth it !

Faction based tabards would be good. It's a 'war' so you'd think the individual soldiers wouldn't have to buy their faction tabards..... or siege equipment... or wall repairs

i like the idea but would you get people who have limited amount of chars just make 5 different chars for the tabards and delete them?
i got 5 EP guys

I tried DC and AD but none held the same tension and grittiness that I loved about EP.

I do think it's a good idea, however we all know what will happen

X amount of players will then moan that as they don't have time to level x players in 1 faction they are being discriminated against. ZoS will eventually buckle and it'll end up you need 1 toon at top level in a faction and can have all 3 factions on your account

I also have toons on only in one faction, we are more the exception than the rule, so many people play multiple factions, have toons of different factions in the same campaign has made realm pride or faction pride a joke and a mockery of the whole three faction warfare.

I am with you if you have 8 toons dedicated to one faction, maybe there should be a loyalty vendor of some kind.

I would love this. With Cadwell's silver and gold, there is no reason why to make a character for another faction.

Why discriminate? I would say if a player has minimum of 4 ? ( most people won't they will have 3 -3 -2 )

My estimate is that very few have 8 in one

I made four EP and two each of the lesser factions back when I started playing, unknowing of the nifty cadwells silver/gold allowing us to see all the game with one character, and thus thinking I have to make some in the other factions to see their stories.

If I could go back in time, I likely would do them ALL in EP... since that IS indeed my favorite faction. But nowadays, after many many months of horse training and research... its a bit too late to "just reroll"...

And therein lies the problem. People who might be of a same mind in the issue would perhaps feel a bit cheated if suddenly people who are all one-faction gained an advantage from it...
Unless there was some option for them to shift characters from one alliance to another. Which is a topic that has come up once or two... dozendth...

Personally I'd love that of course. Some epic questline with an "alliance loyalty called in question" theme, that unocks for all after completing cadwells, and allows them to make a huge choice early on - stay loyal to their faction, find out who framed them, and repair their reputation, or take the opportunity to defect to the alliance of your choice, courting their agents and preparing your escape while barely staying one step ahead of your own factions spycatchers... come on, who wouldn't love to have their AD character slam a porticullis shut in Razum-dars face, and make some snappy comment as you hop into a boat with Naryu bound for Morrowind?

Actually there is... it's called RP. I have characters in all factions for that reason and so do others as well.

LOL.......faction loyalty is only in your head. Why should anyone get special treatment because they choose to play a certain way? Next you'll see players asking for rewards because all they play is one class, or some other self-described category. Your reward for playing only one faction is tunnel vision and a self-imposed limited ESO experience.

Yay! The best faction! Daggerfall is my favorite faction by far. When I was doing Cadwell's Silver and Gold, if I had to fight the Daggerfallians, I would actually sneak around and try to kill as few as possible.

I've started characters in the other two factions, in theory to help guildies in other factions, but I've never really gotten around to leveling them up to anything useful. All my main characters are DC.

I have all 8 of my chars in just the one.AD and only AD.I am forever loyal to my faction! :}

I think one's faction doesn't count for anything unless you actually fight for it.

Oddly enough in helping some people with emp runs on less popular campaigns recently I was startled to get the emp killer achievement (didn't even notice I was whacking on an emp) and thought, the first time I got that achievement was something like May of 2014. Course, the lag wasn't quite so bad back then.

Idk about it being based off rank level but definitely no other faction in your character screens

If people were loyal to the faction, I would not have lost several people who I RPed with, my IC family members. So, don't give me the 'but RP' excuse. It doesn't fly. It DESTROYS RP.

I like the idea. For the Covenant! What really made me want to get this game when it was coming out was choosing your faction. I based my choice on the moral standpoint of what each faction was based on and stood for. And thus, I stuck with it. Forever with you, Daggerfall, land of my birth!
