I've never really had an issue with lorebooks honestly. Takes maybe 20 minutes to clear a zone, although that's on PC with the lorebook addon. If you mix it in with the other leveling tasks (skyshards / delves / dolmens / main quest) it doesn't really seem to add much extra time at all.

I agree, running around gathering all the little things missed is aggravating and not worthy of my time.

Exactly why I can't level an alt.

Get the Lorebooks and Skyshards addon. I can understand the sentiment (I have a lot of characters) but in reality you don't actually need all the skillpoints available to you. If you know exactly what kind of build you want for a character you can outfit them pretty easily with very minimal effort. The difficulty begins if you are a completionist and want to unlock everything, which is more or less what I've done with my Dodge Hopper character. I do make it a point to always have skills to learn when I turn missions in on every character. Its just too easy to do, and there are some good addons for this as well that let you save a skill bar loadout so you can quickly work on multiple lines at once. To give you an idea of how much I've learned on the Dodge character, I'm almost done learning all skills all morphs (I think). It will be a great sigh of relief when I complete that project.

You only want meteor on a magicka build anyway, make a stamina alt

i've only ever bothered to get mages guild rank 10 on one of my alts so far and never had any problems. most of the higher level mages guild skills are complete junk (especially the passives)

Lore books are cake compared to rally, caltrops, and magica det.

I tired to level and alt through non vet pvp, it's about 70 - 80 vet pvp players rolling 400 - 500 CP on nightblades and sorcs it is quite honestly more disgusting the the *** talking, exploit heavy, tea bagging, Zerg fest that is vet PVP.

Nothing in this game drives me take breaks for a few weeks at time from this game then the PVP.

Some of it because of the lag and other technical things that make it hard to play.

Mostly though it's because of the players I've never found a game with PVP where it didn't degenerate into a giant *** fest.

I've had like three positive memorable PVP experiences and like 250 plus experiences that range from bad to just downright terrible.

So yeah lorebooks are cake.

Making an alt is boring and time consuming - it does not add value to ESO game.
You have to do
- Same quests with the same endings,
- Undaunted/Fighte/Mages guild start over from scratch
- Achievements - start over
- PVP skill trees - start over
- Crafting - start over


It is a miracle that CPs are account based.

Its good doing mages guild and fighters guild and undaunted etc on one char , but on the rest of them, no thanks, no surprise there just another grind I could live without.

If you run around and complete actual sets of books the grind isn't all that bad. No where near as bad as actually leveling the alt through VR levels.
