Why does zos remove grind spots but promote grinding?

Endgame is basically rolling a new toon but they removed all the great grind spots and were reduced to rkindledik and sewers for decent xp but those spots are crowded and often times a waste of an xp potion or scroll because of how many people come to ruin it.
It's just aggravating that they give you rings encourage group play but punish you for playing in groups and make it difficult to play with 2-4 people and level

Pls bring back way rest and cracked wood ):
May the Schwartz be with you.

I would pay this if it let you roll a VR1 to 16 only if you take the time to reach VR1 first

5k crowns gets you a freaking motif. A maxxed toon would likely cost 50000 crowns :(

That is one thing I'm looking forward to about BDO, the fact that leveling is done through combat, and the combat is heads above ESO which will make actual grinding monsters fun. One of the issues with grinding in ESO is that the combat is so boring and repetitive that it feels like a chore, but from what I've heard and read about BDO, there you actually have fun grinding because of the combat.

They are nerfing grinding spots because there is no enough end-game content for VR16 character and they force you to go though the story line.

With brotherhood they are removing VR system and grinding will be much faster.

It is a good change... too bad they are coming with it this late.
The entire Tamriel will become the end game if done properly - good move ZOS better late than never.

Where does eso promote grinding (apart from bop gear)?
The cp cap increase they announced equals 30min questing per day on average to always reach the cap when the next dlc is released.

Non sense - why would you pay for it? They are getting rid of VR1-VR16 next quarter.

Oh the CP system is the only thing done right in term of grinding.

However LV1-LV50 and VR1-VR15 needs to be out-grinded as fast as possible....it is not rewarding at all to spend your time at any of those levels. The game starts to reward you at VR16 period - designed by ZOS.

Why should anyone grind 1-50? The only people that do this are those who want to play the fotm build, but need a new char to do so. When you're playing normally 1-50 is fun.

Yes I agree it was very fun first time....it was not that fun second time....it was unbearable third time.
And the reason of re-rolling an alt does not matter here....one thing is certain that to reach VR16 on your alt is a boring process and ZOS makes sure to make is as long as possible - it is just not a healthy combination.

lol ok let me fill in the blanks I guess,
the "leveling" part of the game is just that, it was never meant to be the "end game". you don't strive to max out your gear, stats, skills for the "leveling" part of the game. if you did you could just keep making alts.

It strikes me this is basically what's behind so many feature requests, from "race change" to "make x account wide": can you please make it so I do not have to play your game?

Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

This game shouldn't be about grinding, first time do some quests get some skillpoint collect shards lorebooks etc...
the removal of veteran mode will make it a lot easier to reach the final level. So the grinding is just a bit less.

A lot of people like pvp and with how the game is you can't do pvp without a maxed character to compete most of the time
The difference between vet 1 to vet 6 in stats is massive
The only reason I like grinding is because if I'm in the sewers I'm at least making money while I waste hours upon hours grinding

Gear grinding aside, you can get pretty far into both the Veteran System and the Champion System without having to grind.

I think that a lot of people are missing the whole point by trying to rush to the "end game". Many treat the leveling as a necessary evil when it is a huge part of the game that is intended to be played.

Overall, I think that satisfaction in this game is tied to how leveling is perceived by the player. Cyrodiil lag issues aside, the more a player enjoys leveling, the more likely they are going to be satisfied with the game. Balance issues are much less of a problem when you can switch to a lower level alt, where top end skills are not known, and level that character up. The reduction in character power just due to character level eclipses the issues with balance, and in many cases, the changes that come in patches and updates to address balance.

This is true, of course, but it isn't that bad to go through cadwells a couple of times. Especially now it will take you straight to V15/V16. Gear, attributes, skill morphs, CPs...........all these can be changed on existing characters. The only hard constraints for a character are class, race and alliance (for now). Now, if you somehow repeatedly make toons where you later regret these choices, despite knowing of yourself that you hate leveling up new alts.......well, isn't that kind of careless?
