Basically means if it actually happens/exists in The Elder Scrolls series or not which is stupid because nothing Bethesda or Zenimax have ever made is canon. No idea why its being discussed.

There are those who feel that parts of the story of ESO are incompatible with the lore established in the 5 Elder Scrolls single-player games. Plus, since ESO has a different developer, which leads some to assume that there would be discontinuities with the established lore. While not everything published within an IP is canon (even if it is official since they have legal permission to use the IP), it has already been stated publicly that ESO is canon.
Therefore, the real questions should be is X in ESO compatible with the 5 TES games and their established lore, not whether X is canon or not. Plot holes are common in anything as expansive as TES, so I don't let it bother me if there are incompatibilities.
