Content you've already played through countless times is probably just not going to be "fun again" in the way that you probably want it to. You can only experience something for the first time once.

Take your sub-level 30 characters skyshard hunting in Coldharbour and see how well you do against the mobs there even with CP and set gear. That "miss" mechanic for being severely under-levelled is no joke

I'm with OP. Large swathes of this game are mind numbling easy.

Respec to remove the champ points. Take off the set gear or just run it without gear.

If we make low level areas harder for veteran players who can roflstomp content because of champ points, set gear, glyphs on armor, pots and food, not to mention already knowing the content which new players don't have access to or just don't know about yet, newer players will quit in frustration.

This is not good for the longevity of the game.

You however do have enough knowledge to make it more challenging for yourself.

This is just so ridiculous. I get what you're spitting but MMOs are about replayability, challenge, progression, etc.

Gimping myself to accommodate for lazy game design, and bandaid nerfs to content difficulty because of solo criers etc is not going to inject new life into the game for this perspective.

This is probably the easiest game i've ever played. I don't even know how some of you can find it fun anymore. There is literally no challenge outside of malestrom arena and even that is not hard.

To all you people saying if you want a challenge remove your gear/CP points.. NO.
A game should not be made in a way where the only way you can get a challenge is by gimping yourself. That is not how MMOs are supposed to work.

OP, im usually wary of scaling. But nothing beats it when it comes to keeping older players interested in content while keeping that content relavent for newer ones.

I see gearing and progression to be as much a part of thegame as any other, so i see comment like 'unequip your gear' and 'undo your progression' to be meanspirited and unhelpful at best. Scaling could make it so that you can keep that and still find a decent enough challenge.

    I approve.

The CP system is making people God Like and some people want them to increase the CPs. The whole CP system was an extremely lazy and easy system to just implement. Its just stats increase. Now it makes the game impossible to balance because people the same level or vet rank can be so far from equal playing field. A level 30 character on an alt with 500 CP is on a different planet than a new player with 0 CP. Even at Vet ranks, somebody with a lot more CP will be a lot stronger. The CP system i personally think was a horrible way to implement progression in the game but i bet it was the cheapest and easiest way to implement progression.

This MMO seems to be working just fine.It isnt failing at all. If you find it to easy, there surely must be harder games to play. This wasnt created for competitive players. It was created just for the fun of it. To play as you want and enjoy doing so. Whether easy or hard. For some reason people seem to think ESO is all about PvP and competing. It isnt, although it does have that element.
I've played several MMOs and some are easy and some are way hard.Just because a game is easy for one player doesnt mean it is for another.

Agreed, the CP system is a horrible progression system for an MMO. They will never have a form of balance with it. They can only hope to achieve near good balance at CP cap, and that fuarks all new players coming into the game, and punishes everyone in between.

People have (correctly) said that ZoS only knows two levels of difficulty:
    1. Dead Easy
    2. Insanely Hard

Most open world zones/mobs are on the "dead easy" category. I was soloing in Craglorn yesterday and it was refreshing to have difficulties with group of normal mobs if I wasn't careful.

I think it is possible to have "fun" in a difficult game but you have to be careful. Take EverQuest for example. In that game a fight with a single normal mob exceeds the difficulty of most mobs in the entire game of ESO. A named mob in EQ are roughly similar to the world bosses in Orsinium.

This level of difficulty makes for a completely different experience. In ESO I can wander the world without worrying about running into mobs unprepared (most of the time, the Scaled Court mob groups in Craglorn pack a good punch). In EQ there you take great care wandering a dungeon as one wrong move will result in a free teleport back to bind.

I'm not sure making ESO all "hard mode" would be a good thing but I would like to see a little more variety in difficulty. Leave the Open World difficulty as it is and increase the public delve difficulty a little bit. Or provide "solo" instances of the group dungeons.

Remember when there were soft caps and you could make viable hybrid builds? Or builds that were about more than just maxing some attribute and spamming some ability. Remember how the pve zones would challenge you as you were levelling up so you would learn naturally how to have a good build, instead of wandering into a VR1 veteran dungeon without the faintest idea how to play

    So... Recap.
OP is being entitled to brag about being so 4w3s0m3 that his 1337 skillz are too much for the current dungeon system, and then he asked for a "moar hard" difficulty toggle, like regular, vet, and probably 'oky, OP's harder mode for oh-so-awesome-playerz' options.

Then someone posted a vid despicting how they coded mobs to not kill afk'rs (try this at home, AI actually hit you more effectively if you are not idle)

Fairly nice idea, for a new dungeon mode.
Awfully and horribly executed by someone who did not know what he was typing.
OP should wear green items if that's the case.

As far as we know we may get something like this when Veteran Ranks are removed in a few months, we just don't know yet.

If content is a little too easy for you now, you can make it artificially harder by removing CP from your character for the time being.

Nah.. 40% of the playerbase is noob. It's not the majority or anything But Zeni can't just kick thm in the stomach by increasing difficulty or making stuff hard at random, it'd need to be a completely different toggle thing..

..Oh and i don't mean "noob" as in newb or new guys.. i mean noobs as legit noobs, as in "How did i get one-shot'd ? i have liek, 17k in cyro i'm a powerh0uz3 ! Nerf Nightblades " - while wearing 7/7 light becauase 'what is undaunted?" and the like.... really.

It went from having to know that harvester bubbles heal them, to oh... shes dead. And since Ive had to explain that and many other mechanics to people who have played the game naturally (no grinding) I feel there is no learning curve in the game. This isn't about solo players and its not about vet rank characters. This IS about newer players bring able to complete content DESIGNED for them.

What is rediculous is people putting 300+ CP, set gear, runes, food on a lowbie and running a dungeon they have already run 50 times and expecting it to be challenging. Then expecting ZoS to make it harder for them while ignoring the new player without which the game will die 100 times faster than remaking every low level area harder so your OP lowbie can be challenged. They should never have allowed alts to use CP until vet ranks.

Yea I have to agree with this too. The first time I did Dosha, it was tough. The latest time (4th I think?), it was pretty lame. There was another boss (forget the name) in a quest cave that the first time I did it, I needed help. The last time it went down so fast, you didn't even know it was a boss but I do have to wonder if it is due more to my knowing the fight and having CP, gear, etc and less to the nerf they gave it.

Perhaps a bit of both? I'm sure now that we are used to her,and know our skills that that is part of it. But,others have mentioned that she has been nerfed too. When I have taken in a lower level alt,it used to be tough, but with this last patch,it seems she just doesnt care to fight much at all.

Not sure of certain people's reading comprehension but in the OP it clearly states doing low level dungeons(typically for non vet, no cp toons) and that they should be made more difficult because the group was made of 3 players over 300 CP and 1 over max.

This thread is detrimental to any new person or a group of players that don't know the ins/outs of dungeons. I'm not the only one that sees it this way.

This content is made so a new player can run it, without champion points, without basic knowledge of skills and buffs, wears looted random gear and food/drink/potions.

If you desire a challenge, respec and remove all your champion points + wear looted gear, like a new player. Then go and join a group, with new players who don't know mechanics of dungeons - and walk into a dungeon with them.

People say this, but I'm sorry, this is ridiculous:

And he goes on to specifically request scaling for cp levels.
