Magic dragon knight survivability

Hi, I've been playing my magic dragon knight for a few weeks now, he's rank 1, does fine on solo stuff but in dungeons is very fragile. His front bar is all ardent flame skills + reflective scales using dual wield. His back bar is in flux while I'm raising skills but primarily has restoration staff skills mutagen and healing ward. He's in 7 light at the moment. I have put all my points in magic, which worked fine on my sorcerer but here seems a bit on the breakable side. What do you guys do for survivability?. He only has 14K hps at the moment with food so I'm thinking 2 pieces of heavy may help and maybe some health glyphs instead of magic to get nearer 20K hps.

    A magicka DK i played with stressed more on HP but he used that desert rose set to keep his resources high. 7 pieces of light isn't good unless you have high HP and a armor set to fill in the gaps.

    Yeah that's what I'm starting to see. I'm fine if I get through the first few seconds for burning ember heals to star coming in but until then I can drop like a rock.

    Dark elf, at the moment I'm using 5x julianus 4x succession and some other scraps. Essentially I've not yet decided which sets I want so made the Julianas and picked up the rest grinding maelstrom arena.

    Those aren't tank setups -_-....... And copying a sorc build to a DK won't work because, sorcs have spammable shields =P

    In general it's a good idea to get your health over the point of being killed by single hits, and in the upcoming patch Burning Embers will provide a decent heal as well. Coming from my 7/7 heavy armor health dk I find spiked armor helps cull some damage, and while its up you can heal yourself for more.

    Wasn't planning to tank, have a stamina dk for that. This was to be a fire damage wizard type thing, but your right the set up for my sorcerer doesn't seem to suit this character.

    Thanks, front bar is almost the same as mine. Back bar looks interesting. I was thinking of adding vampire just for the ultimate and magic Regen. (and the fact that making a vampire I'd about the only thing I haven't done in game so far.)

    Let's assume I'm going to go 5 light armour, 1 heavy, 1 medium. Which sets would you recommend? My sorcerer uses 5x Julianas, 3x willpower, 2x nerieneth and 1/2 Torugs (depending in which weapons). I'm thinking 2x Scotia, rest its still a bit in the air, think kraganaks might be good for the extra health.

    This is just a cut and paste from a previous post... but the armor/jewelry/weapons might be what you're looking for.

    I have a very aggressive PVE Dunmer Magicka DK Tank. Here's his setup: Attributes: 64/0/0 Mundus: Apprentice

    5pc Kagrenac's Hope- Heavy armor, Divines (for the extra health, regen, magicka, and dmg)

    3 Pc Willpower: (extra magicka and spell power- arcane, all spell dmg enchants)

    2 Pc Valkyn Skoria: Light Armor, Divines (extra health & fire dmg) It proccs off all your DoTs and does AOE fire that synergizes with World in Flame passive.

    2 Pc Torugs Pact: My DPS bar has two nirnhoned swords. My Tank bar has a Defending Mace and Divines Shield.

    DPS Bar: Burning Embers, Molten Whip, Inner Light, Structured Entropy, Eruption, and Shooting Star

    Tank Bar: Green Dragon Blood, Pierce Armor, Volatile Armor, Draw Essence, Igneous Shield and Corrosive Armor.

    I chose the three Mage's Guild skills over DragonKnight Skills because the Mage's Guild passives help add max magicka, increase magicka regen, Procc the passive "Might of the Guild" and Entopy causes Major Sorcery (not to mention 8% extra health for tanks!)
    Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

    That's certainly an aggressive tank:) looks like I'm not to far of in my initial thoughts.
