Don't believe there's been anything new mentioned about it in recent months. I know it was being worked on, but with the failure that was Craglorn (seems like most people haven't done the main quest there, myself included) they may be reevaluating their game plan for Murkmire. I'd love it if it remained a group zone but they refine their grouping mechanics so every member of your group doesn't HAVE to be on the same step/phase of the qiest you're doing. That's what kills questing in Craglorn.
I would imagine after TG and DB we might hear more about it. I can't imagine they would dump it entirely. But there is a precedent for things getting dumped after being announced/mentioned, a la enforcer system and spellcrafting. Just sit tight and we may have more news eventually.
I've done very little inside Craglorn, both because some of it is too hard and the zone itself is just completely uninteresting to me. I'll only be venturing into it for skyshards and dungeons I can solo
I really hope it does end up getting released, the video showing snippets of it made it look amazing
Yeah. Apparently they were going to be exploring more of the Argonian culture as well. Argonians are really one of the races I feel is grossly under represented in the game. Apparently they were going to be exploring more of their culture and reproduction methods.
Indeed. We get some insight into Argonians reproduction in Shadowfen but I'm interested in learning more about their society and the Hist tree. I'm sure there in game texts and all for that bit, to have a story focusing more on all that would make me want to try playing through the zones content.
Honestly if they were to change how group questing worked in Craglorn I'd love to play through it. Maybe they should add a feature to the group finder to group up for quests/particular steps of quests or something. Might encourage some people to do that content.
I hope grouping improves for those that like groups, I just wish there was a way to do group content (without ingame item rewards) just so I can get the achievements solo
The Murkmire video made it look like a brand new game, also- those new Reptile creatures look so damn epic
It was going to be an "adventure zone", like Craglorn, that emphasized endgame group play for all quests and content. But the forced group play of Craglorn was unpopular with a lot of players. So my guess is that it is on hold because of that. I am sure it will resurface. They had clearly already put a good amount of work into it that I doubt they will throw away. But I think it will be be re-purposed into a zone that is less group-dependent. Some of the group content will probably be turned into 1 or 2 new dungeons and the rest into an Orsinium-ish zone, with solo content and battle-leveling so players of any level can jump into it.
