If I want to give my friend lycanthropy, do I need ultimate?

I've bitten plenty of people as a vamp, and it's as simple as can be, but I've never passed on my other char's lycanthropy so I need to know: Do I need to have enough Ultimate stored up to transform in order to bite? I have the skill line maxed out and the perk as well.

Is there anything else a first-time ww biter should know?

Yes you need ultimate. Transform AWAY from the shrine or it won't let you bite until you go away from it and swipe at the air. watch out for people looking to ninja the bite. thats about it.

How do you "ninja" a bite? Just curious. :}

@Volkodav they jump in front of you as you're about to turn your intended target, thus getting bitten instead.

I usually transform at the shrine run up to the hill by the Senches (where they are napping) and run back to the shrine then the bite works. Always people trying to ninja the bite.
