How does poison work in this game

I am morphing several skills to have poison damage on my bow, such as poison injection, acid spray, and the snipe one. Do they stack of overwrite each other? Also if I was to say but with acid spray and hit again does it simply refresh the dot, so if I keep hitting with acid spray and refreshing the dot is it actually ticking. That is all I can think of now, do they overwrite of stack and does refreshing it via multiple uses of the same skill prevent it From actually ticking.

Poison is just another Damage over Time effect.

The damage stacks from both Poison Injection and Acid Spray and any other form of Poison damage.

However, if you cast a DoT ability , and then cast it again, the DoT will reapply itself. So there'd would be no point in spamming Poison Injection because you aren't letting the DoT tick for the extra damage since it keeps reapplying itself.
