At least give us a way to upgrade existing jewelry. I believe this is long overdue. Right now, you can only change the enchant on a piece of jewelry. It would be great if we could upgrade the quality as well.

This is a change I can totally get behind. It's not whining about not being as good as someone else, it's not because someone is tired of farming something and wants to be able to buy it instead, it's just because...well, why can't we do *anything* with jewelry besides find it and enchant it?

For ZoS the problem with being able to craft jewelry is that then we could wear 2 full (5 pc) crafted sets. That would significantly change the power of our characters

I've got 2 5 pc sets for my main and he is far from OP. Even if it was all VR16 gold with ideal traits he'd still probably be better off with some monster pieces in there. The real reason they don't want to do it is that less people would be farming dropped sets.

Well.... just being able to craft jewellery with a trait would be something. It doesn't have to be part of a set.

I don't know about that. For me, less farming/grinding does not mean I'll play less. Instead of being bored off my butt farming/grinding I'll get to spend more time in Cyrodiil having fun.

I'd much rather have jewelry crafting.

I mean, I can understand why they didn't add it so far - with only rings and amulets to craft, it'd be a pretty sh... uhm... suboptimal crafting line. Even worse then woodworking with six things to craft/research, and way behind clothier and blacksmith with 14 things...

But that only means they need a few more things a jeweler could make to bring it up to par.
There could be things like crowns/circlets for the head slot, that have no armor value, but give group buffs instead.
There could be bracers, which again have no armor value due to being made of soft precious metal, but give you more jewlry buffs instead.
There could be an alternate destruction/restoration weapon... I always say "Spell Focus" when I talk about that idea, and I mean things like (depending on racial style) holy symbols, ornate spellbooks, gemmed skulls, gilded scepters, meditation crystals, shaman rattles - seems right up a jewellers alley, and would add four more things to work on, bringing up to a viable crafting line...

nah, they could have jewelery sets that get bonus' at 2 and 3 peices.
they could also include earrings so we can mix and match one two peice, and one three peice set. They would have Jewelery shops to craft them in as opposed to the normal crafting stations.

I disagree on the overpowered argument for the craft jewelry. Already you can wear 2 5piece sets (I have the 3 piece jewelry for trinimacs v16), and a Maestrom weapon or master weapon. With the next dlc they are supposed to be raising the levels on the pvp gear to v16.

It would make people who use the monsters helm and shoulders have to consider its worth it against 2 5 (piece crafted sets.)

We should at least be able to upgrade that jewelry to gold as a minimum.

That's part of the problem, if jewelry is included in game and can be improved through enchanting, it shouldn't cause that much of a problem to have 5 crafted pieces vs 5 enchanted pieces.

Upgrading Jewelry to Gold will be a nice crafting asset and give some nice feeling of progress when you level your Jewelry crafting skill line by deconstruct all those worthless Jewelry items we loot all the time.

Only upgrading to gold will not create OP effects at all

and gives the nice feeling of having it all in gold.

I would like to see us have the ability to upgrade the quality of my jewelry.
The next question is... would we need a new material for it? I guess we could use temper alloy to upgrade them since jewelry is metal.

To make this fair should it cost double the amount of temper alloy to upgrade each pc of jewelry or should it be the same cost as other upgrades?
