Ok, so I've been playing Magicka DK since console launch. It is by far my favorite class and is the only character I ever feel like playing all the time. So, naturally, I've gone through an extensive amount of builds/rotations/gear comps etc. I only PvP really and from day one have realized how important a gap closer is (especially with melee ranged spells). I've used everything from Invasion, to Crit Rush and of course Extended/Empowering chains. Now, as far as skills are concerned, chains is obv the most fun to use imo. However, THE SH#T NEVER F&*KING WORKS WHEN I NEED IT TO, and it seriously destroys crucial moments in fights because I can't contribute until I manually run to an enemy player. Like seriously, an enemy standing on a F*&KING PEBBLE should not be "Too High or Too Low" for me to effectively use a gap closer. I greatly appreciate the upcoming buffs for M DK's (obv) but I really would like to have a reliable gap closer that doesn't use my crucial stamina. Is this going to be addressed in the TG patch at all? Has anyone tested out the new chains extensively in open world on the PTS?
