What is the first thing that comes to mind when doing over world PvP?
If snappy and fluid combat comes to mind, the server is probably empty or your a sewer rat atm.
If 500+ ping and rubber banding is what you say, then you must be just doing some normal PvP
While there is some great potential for there to be some fun PvP, it's just hard when the server is having a hard tie coping with all the zergs or with all the lovely perma roots/stuns. I won't go into the details of the combat and stat issues as I've done that many times to no audience, that and it will just be ignored in the end.
What are you complaining about now?
Now it's just the same thing, but it's gotten worse. PvP used to only be around 200-300 ping, now it's even higher! No idea how this is occurring, but I can't even begin to think about how the frankly laggy pts will handle on live servers.
The issue with some abilities just being too effective is nothing new. Even sense stats have been raised by 10x and with the introduction of the CP system, some ability changes have made pvp fast pace with the added benefit of lagging servers to make it seem like you die instantly after a 5 second delay. It's become such a big issue and they continue just to put band-aids on it. Reduce damage by x%, reduce healing by x%, reduce shields by x%, add fatigue to various dodging and escape mechanics, etc. Don't even get me started with the lack luster skill changes and added RPG mechanics. Nothing is changing soon and people dang heck know it...
