This is my go to game of the year. As well, I'm part of the best PVP guild I could ask for. Which is personally IMO, the most important aspect of an MMO. Your guild.

    8.5/10

Its a good game, But they made a lot of mistakes in PVP. Personally ESO is a filler for me until Camelot Unchained launches

Not World of Warcraft, therefore 0 out of 10.
Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

9 out of 10. It isn't perfect, but then again, what is? I've played the game probably close to 3000 hours, so I must like it a lot. Right?

After the recent changes to Templar my new score is 5/10. It has potential but it's not living up to it with these updates.

I played far better mmo's which eventually had the plug pulled.

The extreme unlikelihood of ESO ever being canned is one of the big positives in my book. It'll also never be sold to some money-grubbing company who installs the most evil cash shop imaginable and then basically halts development.

Their single player games make them crazy amounts of money and the Elder Scrolls IP is worth a lot to them. Even with ESO probably not performing as well as they would have liked, they're not about to pull the rug out from under it. They'll keep it going and try to fix it.

They also said they would never go away from a subscription model. I no longer have faith about what ZOS will or will not do.

Well, life is change - see it from a positive side, ZOS is capable to make big changes, once they are convinced, those are necessary. So I have still hope, that they might change the way in which the game development is managed to the better. The "best MMO 2015" was given to ESO for exactly that - for their ability to change to the better - now they just have to continue on this path and look at what is wrong in their management and make required changes.

1/10 should read "I will never be happy with any game I play"

Me personally, I love ESO for the most part but long for the day when there will be something in place that is small scale PvP only.

I do not play other MMO's but I would assume its better than most. As far as comparing it to gaming as a whole I would say it started as a solid 8-1/2 an is slipping into valleys of 6's with peaks of 7's when DLC first comes out. While content design is on the rise combat is failing. Narrowing builds, combat mechanic abuse, drastic imbalances, murder of an entire role (tanking) are just a few of the combat issues that come to mind. Play your way has become play kind of your way. (R.I.P. hybrid builds/balance when soft caps were removed). Finally compared to the Elder Scrolls series as a whole it is an aggressive 7. While I do play daily it is no longer my primary game and mostly maintain my characters for DLC releases.
I didn't choose tank life, tank life chose me.

Given time to make improvements ... where does ESO stand with you? What do you rate the game now?

this is the most missed up 1-10 ranking in my life, anyway:
PvE: its good somehow, since only new DLC content are good while other none DLC contents are basically useless - talking about vDSA, the 3 craglorn trials
PvP: its the most horrible PvP experience i had, since - ulike other MMOs- lag and latency issues are one of ESO's unbranded features.

I gave it an 8/10. Its definitely a good game, great potentially, and if the bugs were handled as well as they should be it could be a long lasting MMO. But alas it feels unfinished, and needs polished. But i still continue to play it more than anyother game (til Zelda U comes out anyway) and i do enjoy playing it every night.

    @Rohaus
Cannot agree more. I want small scale pvp battlegrounds / arenas / duelling to be a thing and also Spellcrafting. Both things will eventually be in the game, but they are like beyond 2016 in terms of when they are even gonna consider adding them according to one of their Live shows.

I like the single player aspect. I would like to see an "ignore" option for a person harassing you by completely removing their character from you ever seeing them again instead of seeing "Person - ignored". That way the people who like to jump around you casting spells and what not is completely gone.

That is my only real gripe. I have grouped up many times but it's just not for me. I've played MMO's for 14 years and although most of the groups are fine, there are some groups that (and this applies to any MMO) really spoil the game. I had fun listening to/reading the stories from the NPC's. I probably spent more time doing that then the actual quest my first time around.
In my opinion also I would like an option to stop people from inviting me into a group without a whisper or /say request. Perhaps something on the Social menu "Auto-decline group invites". This probably fits my play style more than other people's though. I actually died once or twice because I couldn't see my mob that I was fighting because of the invite window. After I died I once was whispered "Never mind the invite, I want to group with people who don't die."

Other than that I would give it a 10 out of 10. The graphics are better than any previous MMO, in my opinion of course. I think it's more interactive, the exploration is great...list goes on. However I would like to see more customer interaction when handling bug reports or feedback. That's more of a company issue though versus the game itself.

I especially like using a soul gem to move down deep canyons and giant cliffs quickly. Who knew that the soul gems were so useful? Sure you die...but it's by far the quickest way of getting down.
