At least it feels like that at AD, i haven't played any other faction character, so don't know about those. Also some people i have talked with are losing interest after just endless fetch quests, area after area, and pvp isn't their thing either. When i started to think about it, ESO really don't have much stuff to do in the end.
I remember when Sacred 2 came out for example, it was advertised as having over 500 quests! I played it, and not many quests were fun, though they were plenty.
And then there's wishes of guild housing for example, that would bring a lot of stuff to do for all the pve players in form of upgrading the house, maybe some crop planning for alchemy ingredients etc?. I hope TG brings more diversity in pve.
Two of my irl friends have stopped this game, since it's not fun, and my girlfriend is playing only couple hours a week, cause she's having more fun playing other games. My gf's sister and her fiancee tried this (after i showed pictures of Dolmens, and the beautiful scenery, they got interested), got bored and haven't logged back in 100+ days. So 4/5 people i have managed to get in the game, have gotten bored with it, and these people are MMO-players and gamers.
Games that offer thousands of quests, isn't good anymore. They were cool over a decade ago, i don't really understand ZOS's plan. Who said it's good idea to do 6 delves per area for example, when some of them are just copy-pasted? I could have lived with 2-3 for example. Or with tight schedule, let's code up 20 more fetch quests where you have to run from point a, to point b, back to a, then to c (that people don't even care to remember after 2 hours) instead of using that time for bug fixes for example? Dialogue is good almost on every quest, but the pointless running is stopping me to complete gadwells gold at Rivenspire, and i've been a v16 for about 2 months now, this is my first char.
Thought about unsubbing as well, but i'll see TG first, what it brings more to the game. Now i'm paying 13 euros as a uni student (so i could use the money to other things preferably) and playing more other games than this.

On console right now there is not any other MMO like choices otherwise there would be crickets.
As mentioned before this game needs a serious Mgt refresh.The guy at the top is clueless and has no idea what class balance is nor how to create unique and EQUALLY powerful characters.
He needs to GO!

We've gone to other campaigns only to take over the whole map and drive the other factions back to Azura's/Imperial City, and it's pretty dead & rare to find some decent battles in any of the campaigns other than Azura's right now but because of the insane lag there, it's disappointing.
PvE-wise, I guess many are bored of doing pledges and stuff. Can't wait til the new DLC patch anyway.
@Pallmor
I wouldn't say it was a lack of content, but the lack of variation. Most quests feel the same and don't introduce many new mechanics, hardly any puzzles in dungeons etc.
There needs to be more NEW things in quests rather than kill, kill, talk, talk, run, run, talk, talk.
Adding quests that make people go 'cool' or 'that's awesome' is what we need. As through almost all Alliance main and side quests there is little variation.
Adding or changing quests to contain different things like maybe jumping puzzles, dynamic events, unique encounters where you fight something by not using the combat system but instead throwing rocks at certain weak points where you have to aim right or something like that. (I still love the combat though)
Allowing people to REALLY go where they want instead of blocking stuff off with invisible walls, why not let us be able to climb the mountains in Stonefalls, when reaching the top, get a loading screen and arrive on the same mountains that descend into Deshaan. Same with The Rift and Eastmarch. Because transition is also extremely samey with lack of variation, 'to get to this zone you must follow this ONE road that takes you there'.
I feel like they should hold back on pumping out the DLC's every 3 months and take some time to polish up and improve the quality of the actual game content and quests. Maybe an edit here, an adjustment there, overhaul this and that etc.

Basically I just log in once a day to rake in my crafting dailies, play some market tycoon and maybe grab another skyshard or or 2 on my alts. That's about it. Waiting for thieves guild and frankly I stopped pvping solo due to the lag and broken class balance. I just Zerg every now and then on my alts on weekends to farm 50-100 k ap in a few hours then get bored and log off lol. Pvp is a joke currently. Not going to be any better next patch when everyone and their mothers are going to have proxy with unreflectable meteors....
