So ive had this game on pc since it first came out. I was planning on getting it for ps4 but due to financial reasons I had to wait until this year to be able to afford one. I have a few questions.

1. How do the consoles deal with the dlc? If I have it (any particular dlc)on pc will I still have to purchase them again through the psn? And a secondary to that, if I get a sub do i have access to the dlc's while the sub is active, or will I HAVE to purchase the various dlc's to have access to them?

2. How does the subscription work? I see the game is buy to play now, so if I just pay for the psn subscription I will most likely also have to set up a sub through eso to get the benefits?

3. Is there anything pc/ console exclusive I should be aware of?

Sorry if these q's have been asked a hundred times, I was trying to search the forums for the answers but im at work and my phone is a pain to use the internet with.

    1. Yes, you'll have to buy psn versions. If you sub you get access to all DLC as long as your sub is valid.
    2. You buy the game on ps4 first (which is like 8 bucks used nowadays), then you buy the sub through the psn store for $15. It auto renews on your credit card each month until you cancel it.
    3. Yes, PC has everything and as ps4 users we are screwed.
Example: want to know which traits you have researched already while selling vendor trash? Can't do that on console.
Want to know where skyshards are without printing out a map? Can't do that on console.
Want to know where survey map resources and treasure chests are without printing a map? Can't do that on console.
Want to know when to hit the execute button on a boss? Can't do that on console.
Want to know when to cleanse yourself of debilitating effects? Can't do that on console.
Want auto-run? Can't do that on console.
Want expert level animation cancelling? Can't do that on console.
Want text chat? Have to wait until end of March (supposedly, and no one knows if it will be enabled by default)
Want to know how much health/damage a boss does and what their elemental resistance is? Can't do that on console.
Want to know when the last time a guild member logged in was? Can't do that on console.

That said, the multiplayer on console is actually pretty fair compared to pc. No macro users, no one using extended view distances via sweetfx etc, no hardware advantages.

Thanks for the responses. I was really hoping id end up liking the console version better (due to how much it feels like it should be on console due to the skill slots and whatnot) but from what is being said I should just go ahead and get back into the pc version.

They do have controller support for pc version from what I know.

As far as I know, text chat is exclusive to pc. I suggest not getting the console version.

    1. Buy it in the crown store / or ESO plus in the console store
    2. No a sub is not required but PS plus is required. A ESO plus sub is only required for DLC that isn't purchased in the crown store. Basically don't sub unless u want DLC access and don't want to buy via the crown store.
    3. Yes a lot. No add one, limited settings, no keybind img options, no keyboard/mouse support. The UI's are completely different. Voice chat only on consoles. PC is text chat only. Text chat will come to consoles late 2016 in an undisclosed form tba later
