OK this has been a pretty "hot" topic (pun intended) about if mighty effects Unstable flames and fiery breath and I decided to reset my CP and see if it does and the results is that no mighty does not boost the power of the 2 DK stamina morphs....... Mooncraft and Tenacity from the Thieve tree does...... Yea I couldn't believe it either but I pooled some points into Mooncraft and seen the power went up then some more and they became even more powerful then I pooled points into Tenacity and boosted even more sure by like 1 or 3 points per star but still over all powering it up....... Yea so mighty no to powering them up but Mooncraft and Tenacity yes.

Mighty, mooncalf, and tenacity do not change the damage that unstable flame does. Elemental expert does.

That's because putting points into the green tree increases your stamina pool.

    no they dont

Points into green constellations increases a character's max stamina. Blue does the same for magicka, and Red for health.

They do, but I doubt that is the reason.

Green points can only go in the green tree, so it doesn't matter what green CP choices you make or how you reallocate them, your stamina will go up regardless (assuming that you don't have unallocated green points that you suddenly decide to allocate).

Ehm... what makes you think that is not the reason? As you say, allocating green points (regardless of where) raises stamina, which in turn raises the damage of all skills that scale with stamina, and that includes unstable flame and fiery breath. Makes perfect sense to me?

Because he says he's reallocating points.

If he's already allocated his green points he will have already had the stamina gain. Simply moving them around will have no additional effect.

Though if he had a ton of CP lying around unused then he shouldn't be surprised that allocating them will make a difference.

If you read the OP carefully, you will see he says he reset his CP to test if Mighty affected unstable flame, and then decided to put some into mooncalf and was surprised to discover it increased unstable flame damage.

To me it seems he had no points in the green tree because of the reset. Then added some into mooncalf and discovered it increased his dot damage.

To test properly you need to have the same amount of CP's spent across testing conditions, but put them in skills that have nothing to do with what you are trying to test for the control sample.

Secondly you need to observe actual damage using addons, not going off tooltips. Tooltips are often incorrect.
