Champion Points for Crystal Shard

Should I? I am a high elf and I am spending all points on elemental stuff and spell penetrance.
And then to my amusement, I see that the Crystal Shards use magic damage! I spent zero champion points on the magic, disease and poison damage (Thaumaturge)
Maybe couple a points? But then it is harder to reach that magicka well opening at the 120 points. I am currently at 70 on that.
Any ideas?

✭✭✭✭Yeh, you need some thaumatuge as a sorc.
Next patch magic damage willfully under elemental though, so won't be an issue.1 -
ryanborror✭✭✭On live for pve you'll benefit most from elfborn and elemental expert. Things like overload, liquid lightning,force pulse, endless fury are buffed by this. If you pvp a lot I'd go thaumaturge. This will buff things like c frag, curse, mines, proxy det, dawnbreaker of smiting. When thieves guild comes all your damage will be directly affected by elemental expert and thaumaturge will become a dot passive which will no longer help you.dooderrr
