Don't their scores get reset to 0 on the scoreboard so someone else can have a chance at becoming emperor?

Their score resets, however emperorship does not reset. With 0 point they can keep playing as an emperor because of last campaign duration. I do not understand why keeps are not resetting...

IMO once you get dethroned you should not be able to be emperor for the duration of the campaign.
Emp is OP as hell (Not saying yah or nah to that) and when you give that to a magicka nb running prox det, sap essense, and bat swarm you've ensured that they will not lose emp for the remainder of the campaign with minimal effort.

Why won't they lose emp? Dethroning lag fights with 100 people from each opposing campaign at the same time in the emp keep have become a signature of every time I've been emp in the past few months.. It doesn't matter how good you are as a player, or how good your group is, eventually they'll get 3 holes in the keep and rush in with 100 people to each flag.
The changes in the upcoming patch make defending keeps a LOT easier, though I still believe that numbers will overwhelm defenders if executed correctly.

Well Emp Skill line should just be taken out it so OP. Instead the buff of 35+ HP per character lvl (to whole alliance) should also include Stamina and Magicka increase of the same value. that way the entire alliance who has Emp will be slightly tougher to beat. And not just 1 OP no life who plays 16 hours a day who cant be killed cause of a skill line.

The assumption that anyone who attains Emp is a no-lifer without a family or job is a little disrespectful tbh. I personally know people who have had emp more than once who have full time jobs and family commitments.
Just because you can't achieve it doesn't automatically make it a no-lifer thing..... such a poisonous outlook on things.

AN outlook backed up by the fact that the same guys who r on for 16 hours r 80% of the time the guys with EMP. At least on console that is. I have a part time job and College classes so i play for 6-9 hours and im a pretty decent player. I stay in top 30 on the most populated campaign. And i do love how u ignored most of what i actually said and only focused on the last Sentence.

I mean, 16 hours a day is pretty casual for an Emp. LOL

I am not disagreeing with the part where time played comes in, just expressing my distaste for a) the generalization that people with a life can't do it/people who do it have no life and b) the toxic tone with which you refer to people as no-lifers. It's completely unnecessary and disrespectful.
I completely get that time played is a factor. I have been in a position to be crowned once or twice, but I can't commit the time to hold the top spot for more than a day or two, so I prefer to support guildies who can. I do have a full-time job (though I do spend far too much office time on the forums) and I do have family commitments, but that doesn't lead me to ask for mechanic changes that favour less playtime.... that's a little counter intuitive in an MMO.

Disagree completely. What happens if you finally reach the top of the leader board mid campaign, it'll be your first time as emp after a gruelling two weeks of competing for it, and you're crowned and then dethroned two hours later in the middle of the night. You don't find out about it until you get home from work/school the next day. You didn't get to experience it, enjoy it, and all that hard work is down the drain for the campaign. Right now, you can maintain your lead on the board until you're crowned again, and then choose to keep playing or to drop.
I understand that people are looking for a solution to the issue of one person getting Moon DiE ticks, and playing 16+ hours repairing with kits bought by other people so that said person can maintain a lead. I agree it's frustrating to many - though restricting emperor to once per campaign will harm more people than it helps. If that would be enabled, we would also see a return to the night-cap zerg and one emperor per day - another situation where the system is abused and people who haven't worked for it are awarded a colour and a costume just because they've played enough to be in the top 30 for a campaign.
While those who can play more will have and advantage in earning AP I dislike this "everyone should be allowed to be Emperor" idea. The people at the tops of the leaderboards are also quite often the good players, they make more AP than others because they play better.
]Bob the guy who runs with zergs and spams mutagen will never make more AP than Steve the guy with three friends breaking groups of 20 apart. This has been proven time and time again on Thornblade and Azura's Star on the EU PC servers.
If you want your Emperor learn the mechanics, learn to farm AP and make a rush on a campaign reset, visit a dead campaign if you need to or have some friends willing to help. Please don't penalise players who are in the top ten every month for being good at the game.
