They used to... but then they changed it because of bots were vending that junk for gold to sell for real money.

Problem with that is that things like style stones something every crafter has way too much of don't sell for anything. You can buy them from NPC crafters for 15 gold.

Most traits are not used Infused, Divine, Sharpened and Nirn are the most used when my crafters level up the other crafting trees for the mails I trash stacks of style stones and traits they are not use full.

In my opinion it would be much better if all items were actually usefull instead of being just solld to an npc. I never understood why items with the main purpose of being sold exist. Why don't we get increased gold drops instead of stupid items that we have to sell?

In terms of trait stones, why shouldn't it be possible to change traits as complex crafting task. If it would consume a huge amout of stones to change a trait or style, then those stones would became valuable in the player to player market and we whould at the same time weaken the effect of bad luck with rng drops.
