Running with a zerg will not make you a lot of points. The multiplier that @CamBam370 mentioned can be seen in my spreadsheet (click for link).
Large groups do not make more AP - as I've shown many times. The most AP is almost always made by the people who play in groups of 2-6.
Right now, a zerg will make a bit more than 100 AP per kill if the person being killed hasn't died in the last 5 minutes. A group of 2 will make about 500 AP (small groups and solo players get the 20% AP buff, and large groups don't as load screen times are horribly long when in large groups). You won't be able to fight an opposing zerg, though you can take out targets one by one on their back lines or in the path that they use to run back to fights.
The easiest way to make AP is to have a very high damage build, and just kill people. Doing so at a keep is likely easiest as you'll have advantages to defence. I suggest finding a duelling group and learn more about how to win fights on your own, and a PvP guild where you can form small groups (2-6 players) with a good composition (1 healer, 1 support, 4 damage OR everyone damage with their own self sustain healing).

- I specifically remember someone at zos mentioning the idea that their is a mulitplier this update, that is why they are nerfing that multiplier next update. Two max of 50% per kill.
- Yes a high damage build can get you lots of ap if you gave the right class.
- And no i do not recommend a small group for a casual gamer
Due to the fact that they will not tower farm
And new player will not last as long as more pro ones
Why would someone want to sit around and duel all day that simply only gets you ap if you actually kill the person or if someone in your group does.
Open field combat is much better at getting ap
That 20% ap buff is applied to the less populated alliance not the smaller group.
I play on console and i tested this over and over and it clearly shows you will get more ap in zergs

Brah, the dude you are contradicting is an absolute AP monster. When this man gives you advice for making more AP, listen.

Everyone starts somewhere, there is no reason that a casual gamer can't improve their gameplay via experience to a point where its' doable. Nobody walked into Cyro on their first day and knew it all.

I play Solo on Azura for about half my online time. Im running a Magic NB Healer/DPS. Best way to earn AP as Solo player is Go castle to castle playing defence. Or follow a huge group and heal them as they take castles. i got a 6900 AP tick earlier playing solo defending BRK from red and blue. during that whole seige i probably made around 10k AP. if u repair walls after ull get even more
Way to make fun of the dk that tries to help , i do not zerg personally because my build is not meant for it .
The ESO community is great.....................

Is it bad that I legit taught him virtually everything he knows?Like, not even kidding, he was my apprentice in TKO way back in the day.
Play defence at keeps and while the horde of players run off chasing the remaining enemies stay on the keep grounds until you get the tick. Between defending keep checking the map for siege on keeps so you can get there before it flags.
Also don't be a hero standing in the keep grounds when the outer comes down, get inside before it breaks so you can see what's going on and then go to the front door to lure the players silly enough to come at you. Never over reach because you don't want to die and have the tick go off while you riding back

Regardless of class. I have a NB, a DK, and now a Templar who are all able to make good AP.
