I guess I've found the source of the screen stutter.

After last mini patch my screen was stuttering even at 60 FPS i went to video settings and turn off/on every settings and observed the changes, for me it was the Ambient Occlusion . I've turned off and stuttering was gone. I know there are people out there having the same problem after last patch try turn off ambient occlusion. It fixed for me.

    The only area I've been experiencing this issue is Wrothgar for some weird reason.

    Was having this issue on Rig #3, and as @MickeyBN mentioned, only in Wrothgar.

    Disabling Ambient Occlusion solved this issue. Thanks for the heads-up!

    Can you force this on through your driver control panel and be stutter free?

    I turned off this option a long time ago already, no difference on my end, though.
    But thanks anyway, it might help others to get it fixed :)

    Only in Wrothgar I get performance issues.
    PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

    TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

    Interesting! My milage varies though, I had Ambient Occlusion off since long, and still experienced stutter every 5m or so. However, I solved it by setting SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0" in the UserSettings.txt, might be worth trying SET RequestedNumJobThreads "0" too if it doesn't work initially, else leave as default.

    So a combination of these might just be waterproof?

    Note, for the PTS 64-bit client I have these settings to "-1".

    Edit: When I now looked at my UserSetting.txt, I found that I indeed had "-1" for both settings, and still no stutter - Ambient Occlusion off. So this might be something that's been worked on behind the scenes, so to speak.

    Awesome post, and great to be able to fix it. Few things kill immersion as much as a stutter every 2 seconds. XD.

    I've had ambient occlusion turned off all along, unfortunately I still experience these drops in performance down to 10fps for a few seconds at a time.

    Do you have any GPU monitoring/oc software running? Like Gigabyte OC guru or something similar. For me that was the issue - every 3-4 seconds my game would stutter for half a second and it was driving me nuts. Shut the software down, stutterings stopped.
    P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.
