Checking vMSA weekly rewards on 8 chars

So I've been doing vMSA runs few times a day almost everyday for like a month now (yeye get a life xD), have 8 different chars in top-100, best score is 474759 (I know no1 cares, just saying). I have all kind of weapons all kind of traits multiple times EXCEPT Flame/Ice/Shock staves precise or sharpened. And I play only magicka builds, what means I didn't get a single weapon that I need from vMSA.

A week ago I decided to go full nerd hardcore and do vMSA weekly on all my v16 chars (2 dks, 2 sorcs, 2 templars, 2 nbs). Here is what I got today:

2xDefending/Sharpened/Precise resto staff (too sad there are no other traits, because I have all of those already), defending ice staff (n/c), sharpened maul and dagger (nice weapons, I guess...), defending maul (n/c).

Previous weekly I had 4x shields (I show it in the end of the video) and 2x bows.

Good luck to all other people who still need maelstrom weapons, because there is a chance you will need more than 20 weeks if you do only weekly and don't have 8 chars.

I hope one day ZOS will get rid of this RNG loot and finally make a token system. They already tried to do it with imperial city dungeons, but now we have random chests again with random traits. Same with the new trial where you can get nice defending disco khajiit gear.

I think it is pretty clear there is loot seeding going on. 2 weeks ago, I knew 4 people that got the same Sharpened Resto staff (the one staff that makes zero sense in sharpened). I dont know that many people clearing it so it seemed statistically unlikely for pure RNG. It very well be that it is not overly advantageous to run it on 8 toons in a week.

Also, I will trade pretty much my whole bank for a sharpened inferno staff., which means I will never get it. I did get the lightening version this week, so my sorc is happy.

You may remember I've mentioned @andy.s a guildmate and friend of mine who's doing weekly vMSA on 8 champions every week to get his Sharpened Destro. Here is his feedback topic.

I will repeat one interesting solution and maybe I will get some feedback from community on this point:

You send a Token (untradeable and maybe even unkeepable in a bank currency) in those weekly reward letters and make gold loot trader for those Tokens. You may tweak his prices: 1 token - small item, 2 tokens - big item, 3 tokens - weapon, 4 tokens - jewelry or some other way you want. In my current example you will need 3-4 months of weekly to get 1 weapon and 3 jewelries for one specialization even if you are as unlucky as some of us. With system as it is right now you can spend a year and become not even close to your goal.

This Game needs a token system for ALL best in slot items...

wrothgar dailies, vma dailies, undaunted dailies...

But hey, we talking about ZoS here, they just dont get it, that they are losing more players with such a loot policy instead they try to bind them to their game artificially...

Well, I'm sure every dev should be careful making a Token System live. I remember that in WoW, for example, extremely wide Token System became a problem one day so they decided to rid of it at least partially. So, definitely not everything should be accessible via Tokens. As devs ZOS should find some edge of balance between RNG and Guarantied loot, or you will not feel happy enough getting an item you've really wanted, since it would be 100% yours in 1-2 weeks, for example.

I am in the same boat.. I have put all four of my VR16 characters up on the weekly every week since vMA came out and still haven't gotten my sharpened inferno.

I got one

Probably like the 3rd time i ran vma...but I have been pretty luck on my sorc...first undaunted chest molag shoulders...only had to run tower 10-15 times to get the helm... also have vma resto staff...and got the bow, daggers and 2hander for my nightblade...

took me 6 weeks of 8 chars a week to get everything. haven't done vMSA since then a single time (likne not a single time since 2016 came). Good luck with drops

Fa-Nuit sent me precise ice staff and defending inferno staff. I can live with the defending inferno. I think i wanted the ice staff more.
I have arcane Winterborn jewelry so im definately gonna try that.
And when Thieves guild hits, maybe Winterborn + Skoria?

I've been lucky than lol. First time ever in ESO history that rngjesus didn't screw me over.

Took me 12 mails to get a sharpened Inferno staff from weekly. Only doing it on 2 characters, so I'm happy.

Never had much luck from last chest though. There's also way to many defending resto, Ice staffs, bows and sword&board in the loot table. I would have 3-4 duplicates each of that crap, if I didn't decon. Thing like 2-Handed Mace sharp or Inferno staff(not defending) seems more rare.

I get peoples pain tho totally. When rng is this bad, many months goes by and still nothing, you just kinda loose hope. That's the problem with ESO bad rng. It's suppose to prolong content and trigger you to keep trying, but it's so brutal that many just give up.

Really. If in example drop rate for special item is 50%, and I want certain item with certain armor type with certain trait, drop rate is not 50%. It's 1%, maybe a little more.

Everything else, Molag Kena Heavy Well-Fitted, Engine Guardian Medium Divines, Master Resto Staff Infused, everything else is just poop. Very smelly poop. I don't wanna. Really.

I don't even know if I want to run vMSA, because why is the purpose of doing it if I get some crappy Maelstrom Inferno Staff with Sharpened. You could just mail me gold temper or increase drop rate of one out of crafting writs, the same result with less pain in the butt.

You say Token system is perfect? Its faaar from it. People will whine but whine about different things. Maelstorm weapons are so good, so thats the main source of the whine. Top players shouldnt be rewarded with such items, see how well things are going in PVP side, when rewards are just simple Cyrodil Ranks, no whining? But when you put stuff like Maelstorm weapons, whining is assured, so that said, Leaderboards should reward stuff like Mounts, Title, Costumes, Crafting Styles etc.

I don't understand why people want a token.
-If its a token, then you either have to do a min of X amounts of completed runs for X item or items.
-Eliminate any possibilities of 1 run giving 1 awesome item
-long term, it makes the zone pointless because once you get what you want, you will not come back....which can happen early for some but due to the amount of threads, this seems less likely.

The whole point of doing runs on PvE, is to treasure find. If you find the best treasure or have a clear path, then its no longer treasure hunting. The game becomes...these players who have X amount more time than others will always be at cap while another player who is just as good but has less time will fall behind. So on and so forth.

Just my perspective as I fully understand peoples complaints, but if you had tokens, then you'd be complaining about lack of content.

What Ive said all along, is that all players should get best gears quite easily to minimize the whining, and those who are willing to spend extra time, they are rewarded with Titles, Mounts, Costumes etc, what no-one cares a damn.

Im pretty sure the destro staff are bugged i got about 100 maelstrom weapons and i only had 1 ice defending staff so far while destro staff should come up 1/4 of the time there are 12 weapon and 3 of t hem are destros.
I summited a ticket to zenimax and they didn't even took the time to look into it clearly the rng is not balanced.A specific destro would have about 8 % chance to drop x 3 that would be 24% chance to get one when the weapon drops if every weapon have the same drop rate.

It cannot be just rng when you get every single type of weapon like 5-20x each but only 1 destro staff.

Im down with the rng but when its well made all weapon should have the same % of drop chance wish is clearly not the case right now.
