Returning player Archer build questions

Played on PC from release till about 6 months out. Played a nightblade specced in archery and dual wield. During this timeframe stamina builds were considered underpowered...Personally I had no problems and didn't feel the limitations until around VR5 although it's worth noting that I did not PvP.

Been looking for a new console game and I've been itching for some good PvP....Thinking I might go pick up ESO for Xbox here shortly.

So..My question is what combo makes the best archer these days? Last time I was a wood elf nightblade archer with dw secondary. From what I've heard, dw has problems and going 2hander is the better route now?

Also, I remember when playing my heal staff templar thinking templar would make a fun archer too, but I can't remember why exactly.

All of that said, I'm open to any suggestions from anyone knowledgeable and currently in tune with the current game. And any other advice about new content anyone feels is relevant. Any standout builds in general I should look at?

Bow + 2h for burst builds

Bow + DW for sustain builds

Both will likely vary wildly depending on the amount of Champion Points you're able to allocate to Mighty and Thuamaturge.

2h: curtesy @mr_wazzabi
2h: rally, magelight, camo hunter, rapids, fear
Bow: shadowy disguise, snipe

Buff with rally, camo hunter, magelight for empower

Shadowy disguise for guaranteed crit and also stealth bonus

Snipe spam and enjoy the 2shots

DW:
"Bleed it out!"
Bow: Poison Injection, Acid Spray, Lethal Arrow, Volley, Merciless(Stam choice, on phone now so can't view it) - Flawless
DW: Rending, Ambush, Expert Hunter/Camo(depending on meta), Hidden Blade/Shadowy Disguise/Steel Tornado(AoE), Killers Blade. - Soul Harvest

The basis is simple, maintain dots/poisons.
There is some question about Werewolf in both as an ultimate usable power and the extra 15% stamina regen being useable on one bar or another. I think Soul Harvest is still the best for the huge increase in can provide during execute phases. and Flawless provides a flat 8% across the board.

Class, any is fine, though Nightblade is most common for a main bow user.
Race, probably imperial.

I'm of the mind that race is largely aesthetic. Will you have an advantage by choosing a Stamina inclined race? Sure. But what would you enjoy playing and looking at for hours? In this category I, almost emphatically, prefer Bosmer. The lore, architecture, weapons and armor are too attractive to pass. The difference in dps between the races is negligible unless you are a min/maxer and play in the top ~5%. There are many people that neglect to consider this when choosing a race that benefits stats rather than entertainment.

I was assuming that when the user asked the question, the user referred to best- performance wise, given that the user asked this question without context of appearance.
That said, I would have to agree- to some degree. If you prefer a race in on itself, then I suggest you pick that race.
