On changing Stamina Dk Fire damage to poison.

    ? Do you guys even test this stuff. He must be talking about PTS because that is not the way Fire Damage on Stamina morphs of ardent flame abilities currently work.

    Whats going on here? Others can confirm that this is currently not the way that fire damage for stamina morphs of ardent flame abilities currently work on live. WTH? I had to watch it again, but yeah, Thats exactly what he said......

    This is just proof that he either needs to take a few days off and get his act together or ZOS needs to find a new lead combat programmer cause he clearly ha sno diea what he is talking about and has no idea how much of a bigger nerf poison flames would be to stamina base DKs and DK tanks.

    Good. I hope this brings more logic back into the abilities of this game. There was never any sense to having a magical fire ability need stamina to use.

    Can we switch sorcs to rainbows and tulips damage? oh I know random chaos damage, that way no one has a clue what theyre getting hit by, we'll call it "wrobel damage"!!

    I don't think poison would be far off at all...

    Yes it is true dragons can breath and control many types of elements and other forms of magic but the DKs already in the game even since beta had a entire tree for fire base attacks. Why change it now into something that would only hurt the class?

    For those who are wondering why poison base skills would hurt stamina DKs well look at the new hardy. Reduces both physical and poison damage how is a stamina DK or DK tank supposed to put up any fight against that? Plus there's also the CP that reduces DOT damage too making the poison damage even more useless.

    Well I dont see any poison passives on my Dragon Knight. So they just breathe fire.

    It would be way better of DKs could spec into an element like fire, ice, lighting, etc... like the elementalist in GW2 can. It would actually fit lore better cause not all dragons in lore breath fire.

    Lighting whip in this game would be sick.

    Same for sorcs, let them use other magic types other than lightning.

    And the fact that there's no way to play an ice mage in this game without using only destro staff skills.

    Sounds like good idea to me. Of course all the champ points and passives needs checking too.

    Also... Green Dragon Blood poison aura, similar to Inferno. Do it please.

    Take notes eric, this is how people like me enjoy playing without having to use that wrecking blow trash or magic builds.
    I like a tanky dueler that can 1 v 1 and provide good duels for both parties. Nothing i do is abusive or exploitive and its always good duels. It has plenty of sustain and does not deserve a nerf. You need to quit listening to these live steamers or who ever it is that is giving you your mis information. You dont even understand how badly you are trashing Dk's. To everyone else, Enjoy!

    This is awesome. I'm really waiting for the stamina changes for classes in update 10. I want to be dragon knight, not just some random weapon user.

    As a dual wield stamina dk khajiit I have too many potential places to put my cp: increase dot, fire, physical, critical... Poison damage for stamina morfs and ardent passives would free me from investing fire. And poison damage for dragon fits well, well maybe it would be more of a claw thing than breath.

    And ESO live stream was awesome too, many big topics well explained/disscussed. Obviously there's no limit how people can misinterpret things, if they reaally want to.

    So wait they are going to give us stamina morphs for DK skills but the morphs are going to be poison instead of fire? That seems random but I could get behind this if done right.

    They give us NOTHING NEW.
    We are still stuck with 2morphs.

    Need Stam morphs for inhale,stonefist,ashcloud,whip.

    Wont happen.

    U guys know that u can release balancepatches without adding them to a dlc and release em as stand alone?

    U got so many sugesstions and now we need to wait again.
    Better start with class desin, balancing from scratch.

    Also too bad u only listen to streamers. Some of em have a good view for balance like fengrush, ithers dont.

    Mag dk got buffed and will be meta. Try to tank on a magdk with *** up stampool.
    Zos had enough time to fix/balance stuff and only delivering patches with the release of a dlc is just plain bad.

    That whole segment of the show was quite disappointing with a couple of genuine WTF moments.
    P2P offered you 'hell yeah!' moments. F2P offers you 'thank god its over' moments.

    Please do not change the DK stam abilities to poison. It just makes no sense!.
    I made a dark elf DK and this change would make that combo useless for a stam dk.
    I dont want to be a magika DK, I already have a mag sorc and mag temp.

    Wouldn't it make more sense to simply allow their particular sub-class for lack of better term to be ice-spec'd and force the CP passives to support that somehow?

    I can hardly think of something that makes more sense for melee DKs than even more snare to hold em still to whack em with swords and lock them in ice bricks.

    That being said, I've in the past run 2 separate poison spec'd builds, using Viper, Poisonous Serpent, etc. prior to these nice new poison sets being added.

    Well again a poison breathing dragon isn't exactly not heard of. Coming from the lore of dragons in media is that their are more than fire but also ice and lighting breathing dragons while dragons that control other elements such as poison and winds and earth dragons with great strength that can of course shatter mountains like it is nothing.

    Plus some people theorizes that a dragons never actually breathed fire but a gas that they then used a spark created by there teeth or something to either catch on fire as it is coming out to in the air to create a explosion.

    Long story short it isn't unheard of poison type dragons just DKs have been fire base since beta why change now ? Like if they do it they might as well let players choose which element they wanna be. Fire, ice, shock, and poison. Also maybe through in physical and magical you know a berserk dragon or a arcane dragon.

    I chose Dragon Knight partly because of the fire effects on skills, not for poison. Not a fan of poison. So I guess as a stamina tank that like fire effects its the shaft again. :D

    Why wouldn't they make stamina NB damage poison? That seems to make more sense to me. Hmmmm...this is a very curious decision, indeed.

    I just don't think of DKs as poison damage dealers.

    Dragon poison sounds good to me. I recall dragons in Skyrim do it. It makes sense.

    They plan to take everything you said into consideration, if I understand correctly. Anything that a DK has that buffs fires would buff poison instead if the stamina morph is taken. If they do it correctly the only damage you should lose would be the Dunmer fire damage bonus.

    I really hope so.

    I'm on board for the poison change. Kinda enjoy it and it's made me reroll to DK, begin some more work on his skills/gear.

    BUT

    If they're trying to justify moving away from mixed builds like this to avoid confusion... What the *** is with the new stamina gearset dropping a rune during a roll for magic damage? Can these guys get in the same page pls.
